Question about 1989 Ford Mustang
1989 mustang with a 2300 and o.d tranny will not shift into OD we have swaped the tranny for one we know works. the wires are diffrent #1 has 2 wire plug #2 has a 3 wire puug can I make them swap?
The reason it won't shift is because that plug isn't plugged in. It goes to the overdrive solenoid and the lock-up converter solenoid. I can likely tell you how to adapt it to make it work. What year is the transmission and what did it come out of? I know they are both A4LD transmissions but I can remember what year Ford changed the A4LD from the two wire connector to the three wire.
