Question about 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
I have an 04 Monte Carlo SS 3.8 series II auto w/OD. Problem is that when I started the car to go home from work no lights came on. I have them set for auto on. When they did not come on I pulled the switrch out and still no lights. The only way I had lights was to hold the dimmer switch in high beam. My fog lights will come on and my marker lights work. I have gone through the fuses on both sides of the dash and under hood. I did find a broken wire on the parking brake pedal and figured that is why my indicator is not coming on on the dash.
Every once in a while the trans will slip?? when I start to move mostly when the car is cold.
Help any way you can, specially whit the lights.
As far as the tranny i would replaced fluid and filter and add a bottle of lucas transmission fix see if that helps as for the lights check the bulbs just to make sure one of the philiments isnt burn out if the bulbs are good i would have to say it is in your switch remeber if you touch the headlight bulbs wipe them off good before you turn them on or the will blow out
