Brake lights not working

I have a 1999 honda accord V6 coupe. My brake lights are not turning on. I replaced the brake switch but still the lights do not turn on. The tail light behind the rear window works fine when I brake. All rear lights work. Anyone know where the brake light fuse is located at on this model?

I was just told the other day that my right brake light isn't working. The fuse box map doesn't indicate which one i need to switch out. It may need a new bulb but I'd rather see if it's a simple fuse issue first.

My 2000 Honda Civic also has a fuse box under the hood on passenger side.

Having the sa but haven't replaces the brake switch. The owner's manual for my 99 accord indicates the the fuse is located behind a panel that is viewable when you open the door on the driver's side. There is a panel that you remove (pull off) to expose the fuses. The brake light fuse is the third one from the top on the left. 7.5 A

this sounds like your brake light switch is bad and you will need to replace it. the switch is under the driver side dash connected to the brake pedal arm or the bracket that the brake pedal arm pivots on. good luck!

I have A 2001 accord coup. The two main brake not working #rd dose

Here I assume that by refering to the 3rd light which means the one in the middle works fine.If this is so then it means that your brake switch located near the pedal are working perfectly here..So next thing you need is a meter and read the voltage reading at the connection point of the wiring to both indicators or brake light connection.Hopes this gives you an idea what to do.Good luck

Brake lights are not working on my 98 honda accord. Tail lights, turn signal, backup lights are all working.

probably the switch underneath the brake pedal. take off the drivers kick panel and look up underneath and behind the pedal arm to see if there is a small switch behind it. its probably pushed out of the way.

1999 accord; no brake lights and wont shift to reverse.

Check the switch and relays. They are connected to the brake lever. When the brake is depressed the switch will turn on the brake light. Another relay will release the transmission lever to allow it to be moved from PARK to other gears(safety feature). You probably should hear a clicking when you press the brakes.

1999 honda accord ex v6

The back brakes on my Honda Accord are disc brakes. After removing the brake cylinder assembly you will see the brake cylinder piston end has a slot in it. The short pin on the back side of the inner brake pad fits into this slot, but also it is used to 'Turn' (clock-wise) the piston back into the cylinder so you fit the assembly back over the new 'thicker' pads. You can not 'press' this piston back into the cylinder.
