Have you replaced fuel filter ? Sometimes with time, dirt collects inside fuel tank and clogs the filter which may cause your vehicle to shot off.
Also check for any codes which may be present and causing your problem

Vibration and banging noise in front end right in fornt of center console on the floor board I think its the u joints? But I have to get two guys to believe me on this. The banging noise is only when...

Sounds like U-joint. Also check front driveline shaft on 4x4, sympathetic motion can sometimes turn shaft when not in 4x4 mode.

With play in U-joint, joint slips to one side as Torque pushes against flange to turn driveshaft. Basically U-joint is cocked and shaft is not running true to center plane.

Also worth checking are front c-v joints if 4x4 vehicle. Pretty much the same problem can exist with these small joints as with the big joints on your driveshaft.

The last areas are the motor mounts and transmission mounts. These can cause the same problems you describe. And remember that sound transmits differently through metal.

I have a 2000 dodge ram 1500 Sport 4by4,5.9. The speedo doesn't work until i get above 45mph and I don't think the odo works until then either. I held in the trip reset and did a guage check and the speedo...

The abs speed sensor is on the rear diff. as you read. Your truck may have 2-whl antilock or 4-whl antilock brakes. The sensor on the rear costs about $40. Sometimes it can be easy to replc. if not too stuck, but take care not to crack it or drop pieces into the rear end. inspect the wires for loose or broken connections. Now if the code is for wheel speed sensors on the front hubs, then it will be over $100 each.

I'm having a banging problem in the rear and I don't see anything hanging off. It's scarey.

Take a look at the rear coil springs, mounted on the rear struts. These have a bad tendancy to brake. Also note any fuid leaking from the strut itself. Struts can be purchased for this vehicle that already have new springs installed on them, eliminating the need for a spring compressor, as this is also a dangerous operation for an ameteur. Another thing to check is the rear stabilizer bar links. When these break, the make alot of banging noise. Good luck!

Wil putting two size tires on a isuzuvehicross make the transferre case go out.

Yes...
The tire sizes are important on any 4X4 vehicle... IF you engage the 4X4 ... or is you have an AWD vehicle...

If the tires are different sizes , front and rear... then the front and rear axles will turn at different speeds... not in sync with the gearing of the transfer case.

Unless this vehicle is being driven on snow , ice or mud.... while in 4x4 mode... this is very bad.... for axles and transfer case...

Rear Suspension noise on 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8

Check sway bar. On some models as suspension sags, sway bar outer ends will contact the body, leaving a mark or dent just above the end, causing a bang over bumps. Only way to correct this is to change springs or add a spring lift.
