2005 Subaru Legacy electrical repair question?

I own a 2005 Subaru Legacy 2.5i, it rained recently and i forgot to close one of my back windows all the way. The next day my power windows and power locks and automatic trunk release (the button from the remote) all don't work. The light for the power windows do not light up either. When i press the lock button on the remote it still primes the alarm but doesn't lock the door. i checked the trunk release Fuse and Power window Fuse and both are fine.. (i think their fuse # 3 and 26 in the owners manual.) is there a main wire that connects to all 3 of those parts? please help!!

The #3 fuse does service both windows and door locks and #2 services a control module that affects door locks. Inspect them closely since the fuse element can crack when blowing and this is much harder to see. Pull a least #3 and plug it back in in case the contact blades have stopped comunicating with the mating connector.

To troubleshoot this effectively, you really need a cheap multimeter and the Haynes service manual for your car, #89101.
The manual has very good electrical diagrams in section 12 so you can logically trace the problem. They are available at most every auto parts chain store and cost ~ $20-25 US.

The owners manual doesn't mention it but the main pwer feed to both the powe door locks and the power windows.. It's a 30 amp fuse that is located just under fuse #5 under the hood in the engine bay fuse block..
Subaru, how about correctly identifying all the fuses in the car.. ther is no excuse for this omission,,,

OBD II scanner is the only way. If you do not know someone that has one, they are cheap to buy on ebay or at parts stores. You can also go to most parts stores and they will hook it up for free. Good luck and have a great day.
