Question about Mitsubishi Endeavor

1 Answer

I push the door inside buttons for locks and tried using my key in the drivers door plus I changed the batteries in the remote and the only way to open the tailgate door is to fold the rear seats down and open manually

The power lock actuator inside the tailgate has failed or the wiring to it has an open from opening and closing the gate over the years, it may also have a electrical contact pad, if so clean the contact's of that, if none of this restores function of the power lock then u will need to remove the tailgate trim panel and then replace the power door lock actuator, this is a fairly common problem.

Unlock button on key won't work. The lock button doesn't work either. We have to put the key in the door to unlock and push the button down to lock the doors.

Sounds like the button in the master switch, as all power must go through there. Also open door and between the door and jamb there will be a harness wiggle that while trying us the lock button, wires are known to brake there.

Program a remote key for 03 A6

I have an A4 and did this to re-program my key:

1. used the key to start the car...then turned it off
2. put the key in the driver door (door closed)
3. pressed the lock button on the key fob once
4. turned the key to lock the door.

This is basically the steps in the owners manual, but the car must be started with the key first, and the key must be in the door lock before pressing the lock button.

Key will not unlock door

the lock on the driver side could be damaged or some on might have used a jimmy to open that door before how evr you have to open the pannel and remove the lock cylinder part and make sure that the key is working or yo must change the tumbler s in the lock to fit your key (lock smith)

Keyless Entry and Remote

I have had this problem take you drivers door put your key and un-lock from the out side with key (NO) then open the door push un-lock from the inside button and then set from you remote and it should set if not push un-lock then lock and then do the un-lock with the key. Let me know if that works. what my car did was locked from the inside and I had the problem were it would not work till I un-locked from the out side plus I had to go to radio shack and change the battery from the control.
Hope good happens.

Programming keyless remote

2003-04 Mazda 6 REMOTE PROGRAMMING

Step 1: Open drivers door and leave open.

Step 2: Lock and unlock the driver’s door using the power door lock switch on the door.

Step 3: Insert key into the ignition.

Step 4: Turn key to on position and return to off position. (IMPORTANT - use ON position NOT ACC position). Do this 3 times within 10 seconds. Leave key in the ignition.

Step 5: Open and close the driver’s door 3 times. (Door should be left open after this step).

Step 6: ECU should respond by locking and unlocking the doors.

Step 7: Press any button on remote #1 twice. ECU responds by locking and unlocking the car doors.

Step 8: Press any button on remote #2 (etc.) twice. Each time the ECU will respond by locking & unlocking the doors.

Step 9: Remove the key from the ignition and the ECU will respond a final time with a series of door locks and unlocks. You're done!

Good Luck.
