I have a 1999 BMW 323i. It started making a sound at idle like maybe a clutch fan going bad, so I replaced the clutch fan, the belt and the water pump. Needless to say I still have the noise. It is just at idle. It gets worse when the A/C is on but idk if that has something to do with the RPMs ???
It sounds like one of your idler pulleys for your drive belts is going bad. I'd take the belts off and spin these pulleys, If either one of them feels "funny" thats your bad guy.

I sometimes find that my gas cap is hard to maneuver but eventually it'll loosen up after I pull up on the gas release lever. I lent my car to my BF's brother...needless to say they took pliers to the gas cap, and broke it. :( Now, he wants to come home and try to pull the rest of it out. The thing that really sucks is that I love my car, but this problem is ridiculous. I'm just happy it happened when they were tinkering with it, instead of me- Lord knows I would never hear the end of it.Is there a good way to release the rest of the gas cap, that will possibly not involve denting the rest of my car?
