2001 Honda CRV, it will start & then suddenly dies going down road, after a little bit it will start back up & then dies again after you get going

why replace very expensive parts, guessing.?
so runs ok , dies runs ok, dies, ? is that it? hot, and cold?
did you do the 60k tune up yet, this repeats ever 60k miles.
that be first.
then see if you can save the STALL , with a fast right foot action.
yes, and has full power up any hill at that time, its not the fuel pump.
stalls have 4 major causes and 4 tests..
you can do the tests. or spend a fortune guessing, its your car and your bread (cash).
one very common cause is the EGR sticking open , the main EGR valve.
1: 12vdc lost to the EFI system, the dash goes dead. lost elect. power.
2: lost compression , can happen hot engine only.
3: bad spark.
4: bad fueling.
there are simple tools and simple tests for each
do you want to test, or gue$$?

(EGR sticking or iSC sticking both can be clean before spending big cash guessing parts)

the fast foot answer, is the KEY FACTORY answer that
1 question and 1/2 the work stops. ive posted this many times.
and not one answer,

I have two broken exhaust manifolds. what kind of costs should i expect

Two broken manifolds are caused by engine mount problems. The engine had to be rocking in the mounts substantually to break both manifolds. The parts and labor for the engine mount repair if needed is not listed but can easily run $300.00 in addition to the costs below depending on the number of mounts required and equipment to be disconnected for engine mount replacement.

Here is just the Manifolds estimate:
Estimate Includes: Labor: $478 - $609

$170 - $1067

Estimates exclude applicable taxes, diagnostic charges, disposal fees, and miscellaneous expenses.

Knocking noise from front suspension

If it's on one side only, varies directly with speed and is worse when turning on full lock then it's a driveshaft CV joint which is faulty. The fix is to replace the joint and on some models (you didn't specify the exact one) a whole or partial driveshaft must be replaced.

If the knocking is random and seems to occur with road undulations, then it's most likely to be a failed suspension bushing, a failed balljoint, a broken shock absorber (US=damper) or shock absorber mounting, or even a broken spring or loose wheel. There are other possible causes as well.

A noisy CV joint needs to be repaired promptly, but is not immediately urgent, but all of the other causes are potentially severely dangerous and must be diagnosed and repaired immediately. Leaving them not only puts the lives of you and others at risk, but it causes enormous strain on other components and the repair bill rapidly escalates.

Water pump might be leaking

If its coming from behind the pump pulley, its coming out of the weep hole...which indicates impending failure. Replace it immediately. If its coming from the base gasket, try tightening the mounting bolts a little. If this doesn't work, replace or repair the gasket.

Water discharge from the dashboard2004 grand cherokee

This is almost definitely a leaking heater, I've made that assumption on the basis that you haven't said the leak occurs during rain.

If you're lucky then a hose has come loose and may just need a hose clip to be tightened, and if unlucky the heater core needs replacing which is a huge job.

Either way, it's imperative that you get this fixed urgently as a leaky heater means that you're losing engine coolant, and if this goes too far then you'll get a truly horrific bill for major engine repairs.

If you're short of money then the heater core can be bypassed; there will be two hoses which supply it and they pass from the engine and through the bulkhead. They can usually be disconnected at the bulkhead on the engine side and the hoses from the engine can then be joined using a short length of metal tubing and two hose clips.

Whatever you do, check the engine coolant level immediately and top it up as necessary using the correct mix of coolant/antifreeze and water.

Frying power window switches

I had a similar problem in my 1993 Safari. Problem turned out NOT to be a switch, but a broken wire in the driver side door opening between the door and the frame. I found a cut in the wiring insulation, and it corroded, breaking. This disabled the window control.
