My fuel gage keeps going from empty to full while im driving

The Fuel SENDING UNIT HAS FAILED And IS CAUSING This Fluxuation Of the GAGE, The Sending Unit Is Located IN the FUEL TANK & Requires TANK REMOVAL to Replace it,
NOTE;;;; IF YOU HAVE HAD THE FUEL PUMP REPLACED RECENTLY, THEN 99% PROBABILITY THAT THE INSTALLER WAS NOT VERY GENTEL WITH IT, THIS IS A COMMON REASON FOR THIS TYPE OF FAILURE.

The gas gauge on my 2002 chevy venture is not

Hi:
Your tank sending unit is bad. Unfortunately, it is part of the fuel pump assembly, and the part costs around $400, give or take. plus installation labor. It is an all too common problem on GM vehicles, as I have had to change it on my last 2 GMs. If you do an internet search you will find plenty of others in the same boat!

I have a 2004 Caddy van, (South Africa) the fuel gauge shows empty even when the tank is full

You need to pull the fuel sending unit out of the tank and replace, if you have any other gages out it culd be in the instrument cluster, however that is the most common problem for that car. Sending unit. It The wire may have come off too.

2000 chevy blazer fuel gauge

did you recently change the fuel pump? If so you needed to change the wire harness thats attached to the fuel pump, then if not, your floater need to be replaced inside your fuel tank.
How do I know? from experience.

2000 Chevy Venture shows gas gauge as always full..

if the remote works but the switches inside the van doesn't then the most likely fix would be the switch, tthough it is strange that both would quit. the place too start would be pop out the switch with a small screwdriver and disconnect the connector. the top left pin and the top middle pin is the unlock circuit in the switch. check continuity with your multimeter while pressing unlock. if no continuity, then get a small piece of wire and jump those pins in the connector,( the top right and center ) you should hear the doors unlock, then you know for a fact that the switch is bad. the unlock is used more than the lock so it is a more common failure. you can also use a continuity test on the rear wiper switch. though it is more common that the motor would stick from not being used. hope this helps if you have any more questions i am glad to help... dustang

Fuel guage pegs high at start then goes to empty

Jason, as far as the fuel gage, try a couple of resisters at the wiring for fuel gage sending unit, in gas tank. It's two wires, use the resister inline between the two wires. One resister is for low fuel level, the other for high fuel, If the gage reacts properly to both resisters, the problem is the sending unit in the gas tank. You can try 40 ohm and 250 ohm resistors. I used to get resistors from radio shack, I don't know if they went bankrupt? The store in my community closed. Other places may have resisters?
Just to add, the wire colors for sending unit/sensor are purple and black with white tracer.
