Only place the axle can leak is at the transmission. likely there is some seepage from the seal where the axle enters the transmission itself. It's not an impossible job to do but if it's only minor seepage, it's not serious just check the trans fluid level once in a while. You do have front wheel drive in that car. Also make sure the rubber boots at the wheel end of the axles are good...they keep the c/v joints clean and working.

IThis car im not sure if it is front wheel drive or not. Assume it is then it could get expensive. If it is just rear wheel drive then its just packing bearings with grease, no big deal.

I have 2001 Chev Tracker, Oil started to run out of the Right side break drum. Removed Drum and foud oil all over the breaks. Tried to remove the Axel by removing the four nuts off of the backing plate,...

The axle requires a slide-hammer to remove. And usually the axle bearing is destroyed in the process. A new axle bearing needs to be pressed on by a machine shop, and then the reinstall of the axle requires the correct application of concussive force. This is NOT for the faint of heart, or the ill-equipped!

Are you sure the brake cylinder on the affected side isn't leaking? It would spray oil everywhere, and is MUCH easier to fix. You would tell this as the brake pedal would move easier than it should.

Grease leaking from front end

Check the axle boot. When they rip or crack they will sling grease around.

How hard is it to fix a idler pulley on 92 legacy? I have boot cracked on driver axle and boot on the steerign box axle and the brake pedal goes to teh floor, with 190,000, guy said to junk it...but car in...

None of the items you listed are terribly difficult to replace. I suggest you get a basic manual such as haynes or chilton simply because if you need to ask how hard the job is you have never done it. Consider buying a complete axle...they are not as expensive as they used to be and if boot is torn, likely the joint is bad or will be bad soon (same job, better results) Master likely is internally failed it no leaks...change it.

2005 Yukon Front Diff Axle seals

You don't have to remove the whole diff to change the seals, but you will have to seperate it where the shaft meets the carrier housing. There is a clip holding the passenger axle shaft in place that you have to remove to change the seal. The drivers side axle stub can be removed with a little force as there is a spring clip holding that side in.
