You can find the keyless entry codes for the number pad, to unlock and lock your truck, on the keyless entry module, located under dash left side, the code will be the numbers in bold print, these are the factory code numbers

I am trying to find out what size and year my engine is

Ok, no problem. Copy down your VIN number and go to a decoding site.
A Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is the string of 17 numbers and letters that an automobile manufacturer assigns to an individual vehicle. The VIN can reveal a number of things about a car, including its airbag type, country of origin, engine size, model year and trim level. The VIN also is key to car safety. By entering a VIN in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's free VIN Look-up Tool, you can see whether a vehicle is subject to a recall. Typically, the VIN is stamped into a plate that's mounted on the dashboard near the windshield or on the driver-side door jamb. It's also stamped on the engine's firewall.

Light does not turn on when door is opened

Check the fusebox. It may be under the dashboard and/or under the hood, depending on the make & model of the vehicle. If your vehicle has glass tube fuses, you 'll notice one that's blackened in the centre or missing a piece of the wire. If it's the coloured plastic plug type, you are looking for one that's blackened in the centre or missing a piece of the metal in the centre. Either way:
1) it will look different from the rest so check carefully.
2) replace the fuse with one that has the same amperage as the burnt one.
a) Tube type: amperage number will be stamped on the shiny metal end.
b) Coloured plastic plug type: Besides using the colour codes, there is normally a number stamped on the side. If you can't read it, pull another fuse that has a similar colour and read the amperage.

Axle code gxm g2181

If you would like a good answer for that, it would be really helpful to at least know what kind of vehicle you are talking about. ("1 ton" is WAY not enough information) On some vehicles, there is an axle code included on the Vehicle Certification lable inside the driver's door. Also, for most vehicles built in the last 15 years or so, you can call the dealership and give them your VIN and they can look up which axle the vehicle was originally equipped with.

Need to know which transmission to get people ask about the vin?

naevoid, The VIN is the Vehicle Identification Number. The VIN is a seventeen digit alpha-numeric code that can be found on the left front of the dash board as you sit in the vehicle. It can also be found on the door when you open it, you will see a sticker there with this code. I believe that it is also on your registration for the vehicle. Good luck with this.

My keys got locked inside the van . Can I use the numeric keys to open it even if I don't know the combination?

Hi,
If you don't know the combination you're not going to have much luck there.
You might have to call a locksmith to undo your door. But I would also suggest getting a duplicate key and keeping it in a safe place. The duplicate may not can be used to start the vehicle, but it can be used to open a door if this happens again.
Hope this helps... Good luck.

Town Car 2006 door numeric pad issue

Best way to check the numeric keypad is to press the last 2 buttons simultaneously. (7-8 + 9-0) If you hear the door lock, then the keypad is working. If this is the case, it's possible that the previous owner added their own code. This is done when applying the original code and then immediately entering their own code. This is undone by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10mins. This should restore the keyless entry back to the factory defaults meaning your original code should now work.

Hope this solves your problem. Best of luck and please post back with any other questions.
