Clutch Cable How do you get to the Clutch Cable on a 91 Volkswagen Fox, I've tried to go below and can't even see it. I believe I have to go through the instrument panel, but I have no idea how to remove it.

First remove it on the gearbox. when you have an automatic cable please buy conventional one. it its fixed with a kind of key push cable down and remove key. other side is just on a hook on the pedal under the steeringwheel goodluck

My 90 vw fox manual trans is not moving when put in gear while running makes a chattering noise when i rev it

check the clutch cable for frayed and jammed and holding the pressure plate off. if hydraulic ,check that the clutch master is releasing the fluid ( blocked compensating port
If there is no problem in either system then it looks like a clutch kit is required.

How do i replace the clutch cable

I believe your clutch is hydraulic on your Prelude, at least my 91 Prelude is, which means you have a master cylinder and a slave cylinder. Are you sure it's cable operated?

Manual transmission 91 honda crx will not go into gear shortly after start up or when vehicle is off.

I see this is an older post. I have a 90 Crx and was wondering if you still have the car and how you solved the problem?

The oil warning light comes on intermitantly while driving, sometimes, out of the blue. The oil level is fine and it comes and goes, I have changed the sending unit and that is not the problem.

The oil pump pickup can be stopped up. Oil will cook and look like burnt candy. This was the problem on my 91 jetta and could be your problem. I also have a 90 Fox but never had a problem with it.

When I try put it into gear when started it wont go but if i shut it off and put it into gear it will. Now I just recently had my clutch but my clutch cable needs changing I believe so my question is...

sounds like your clutch if not hydrolic needs a little adjustment or the syncronizer is going bad.. look for a cable when someone depresses the clutch where it attaches to the side of the tranny usually if adjustable the bolt is a 10 mm or 12 mm need usually a pair of pliars and a wrench.,..good luck;/

Where do i put my clutch fluid at?

On your model you most-likely have a clutch cable, therefore no clutch fluid. Follow along the drivers-side under the hood, a lever connected to a cable should be a-top the transmission. This should be periodically sprayed with chain and cable lube. Mine is a 1994 sentra GA16DE 1.6 and it still uses a cable. You should periodically change your gear oil aswell. It is much like an automatic transmission's ATF (trans fluid). On most models a fill hole and a drain hole (both with plugs) can be accessed below your transmission. When completely full, the fluid will be even with or just below the point of which the fill plug is slightly draining from being completely full. Most shops will check this free of charge.
