My MAN truck is giving off alot of Black smoke, I have changed out injectors, air filter and the like, but the problem still persists.... Please help!!

If this engine has a turbo then the turbo is not working properly. If not then excessive black smoke is a sign of over fuelling or the air fuel ratio favours extra fuel so revisit the injectors for correct tip pressure settings to ensure atomisation and not squirting or have the fuel pump recalibrated for correct fuel settings

Getting fuel in oil no sign of oil in coolant

Could be a leaking fuel injector. This would cause the problem because every time you shut the engine off the residual fuel pressure would cause the injector to leak into its cylinder. This fuel will leak down past the piston rings into the crankcase.

Have a 2001 ford f250 super duty need to know how to check fuel injectors......truck was running fine and then the enine ran real rough and when you push the gas pedal to the floor there is little...

The fuel injectors have a resistance of between 10 to 18 ohms.Test each injector. If any of the injector readings are higher or lower than they should be, you need to replace them.
For more troubleshooting:---

Put a long screwdriver directly on the injector while the car is running. Hold the handle up to your ear. You should be able to hear a rhythmic clicking sound. If you do, your injector is good. Hearing a clunk-clunk type noise means you have found your problem. Hearing silence or unusual clicking patterns means either the injector, wires or plunger may be bad or sticking. You will either have to clean or replace them.

Many a times you get black smoke from exhaust due to faulty injectors.Check fuel injectors. Leaking injectors create an overly rich air/fuel mixture and cause black smoke. Take the valve cover off and look at the exhaust part of the injector, when it is running. Each time the injector fires, you should see oil exhausting from it. If you see oil coming out, then the injector is good. When replacing a bad injector, take the glow plug out and crank the engine to get any oil out of the cylinder.----------------- This should help.Thank you.

Idles rough, rpm changing-----Goes dead at times, especially when stopping at light or stop sign.-----Also rpm changing when driving at times.

from experiance you have a faulty injector, try running a fuel cleaner through the fuel system first and see if will clear the problem if this only improves the fault then run a second lot through its cheaper than an injector.adrian,,,,,,,,,

When I start my vehicle it doesn't start right away until I push really hard on the gas... is that a sign of a starter going out?

hi, no this is not the problem, what you have here is a fuel deficiency or the wrong fuel to air mix and or injector problem, or even a maf sensor fault..but if the engine turns ok when you turn the ke4y, the starter is fine...hope that helps
