I replaced a Throttle Body and Angle Sensor, and cleared all codes... after 3 days MIL came back, this time scanner pulled out only 2 codes: 16826 and 17550. there is no sound of leak and fuel cap coil has no damage,.. this drives me mad,.. I am sure there is a simple reason and I cant get it..

    :) any other suggestions?

2004 jetta 1.8 turbo doesnt seem to be kicking in and the engine doesn't have much power. possible causes?

Have the car scanned for fault codes. A power loss in a turbo motor can be caused by simple vacuum leaks. You can check for loose piping and clamps. There are various components in that car that could cause such a problem. These include the turbocharger itself, the turbo boost (N75) valve, wastegate and its linkage, the car's ECU, maybe even a non turbo fault like a clogged catalytic converter or vehicle misfire.

VW Jetta stalls when accelerating

Hello
The engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

03 jetta 1.8t Engine light on

You must now get the system scanned for the fault code that was set when the light was turned on by the computer control module. This is called an OBD2 fault code test.

My 2002 Volkswagen jetta lights on for traction control and ERP light. Car has no power.

Hi there?
The traction system is linked to the engine managment, if there a fault in the traction system it can reduce the engine power output. You need to scan the traction control system to see what fault code comes up.

2006 2.5 Jetta amber engine light is on...vehicle is running fine...suggestions? anyway of resetting this? Thanks

You have to use a engine fault code scanner to check for codes and reset the cars computer. The scan will tell you what is wrong and whether it is a serious problem that needs immediate attention.

Check engine light doesn't work

Hi,
If the "Check engine" light does not come with the ignition ON, it's possible that there is no power coming to the engine computer (e.g, due to a broken wire, faulty relay, burnt fuse, etc.) or that there is a problem with the engine computer itself. Take the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer for any codes that it has stored. Most of the stores will perform the scan for free. The light indicates that the computer has noted a fault in one of the car's systems. Getting the codes will identify what faults were noted.

Thank you !!

first thing is to pull codes from computer to find out what is going wrong this will give you an idea of what the problem could be, go to autozone and they will scan it for free, make sure you write down the code number, then we will go from ther, good luck.
