Issue with 2 way FCC NAHRLED4 05-A remote starter starting on its own???

It could be something as simple as a loose connection, or a bad brain. Have a tech look at it. Not something I would reccommend for the do-it-yourselfer. You could really damage a critical component in your vehicle.

Remote does not work

This could be caused from a dead battery in the remote to a defective remote. Orielly's Auto pats stores carry a remote tester that is capable of telling if the remote is functioning. You should replace the battery in the remote before attempting to test this.
If you find that the remote is functioning then you may need to look in you owners manual for instructions on how to reset or reprogram your remote to the key less entry system.

1997 Nissan Pathfinder door remotes not working. Changed batteries in remote and still wont work?

Oreilly Automotive and many others have a remote tester in their stores. A little sensor will show if your remote is sending a signal. This will tell you if it's the remote or the cars remote receiver. Better hope it's just a remote. Aftermarket replacements are about $50-100. If not be ready to use your keys from now on, unless you are ready to spend some serious $$$. Most of the time it's the remote or a fuse. Check them!

Keyless remote

Note:
Entering the programming mode cancels all learned keyless remotes, so
none of the previously programmed remotes will work. You must reprogram
all of the keyless remotes once you are in the programming mode. You must complete each step within 4 seconds of the previous step to keep
the system from exiting the programming mode. You must program remotes
within 10 seconds of each other

1. Turn ignition switch to ON (II)
2. Within 4 seconds press the LOCK or UNOCK button on one of the remotes.
(An unprogrammed remote can be used for this step.)

3. Within 4 seconds turn ignition switch to LOCK (0) position
4. Within 4 seconds turn the ignition switch to ON (II)
5. Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 two more times using the same keyless remote
used in step 2

6. Within 4 seconds press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the same remote.
Make sure the power door locks cycle to confirm you are in programming
mode.

7. Within 10 seconds press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on same remote.

8. Within 10 seconds press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on all other
remotes you want to program. Make sure door locks cycle after you push
each remote button to confirm system has accepted the remote.

9. Turn the igniton switch to LOCK (0) to exit programming mode.
10. Test remote(s)
