Question about 2004 Nissan 350Z

1 Answer

Electric window Hi--I have a 350z *** import and the fuses in compartment are in Japanese---so I need a diagram please. The reason being---my drivers side window mech works only sporadically---and I do not even know whether they fuses are linked to both doors-------Also I believe there is a re-set button inside the electric motor. I am loathe to take the side panel from the door b4 checking fuses. If the problem turns out to be the actual motor---do I get that fixed,is it possible or does one have to replacewith new? If so ---do any other Nissan electrical windows have the same part?? THank you.

Hey that would be great news. Thank you so much for that. (Where is the window switch............)

  • ellwoodandre May 22, 2009

I see---so it is the actual switch you press---thought I had misinterpreted that info to have a secret switch somewhere on the inside of the "a" post or something. So I will now get the switch itself off. Thank you very much for your patience and input. I am most grateful. Andy Ellwood (U.K.)

Hello again----got the window switch off as you suggested (and also did not need to take off door panel!) ---there are 2 switches ( one for passenger side) which are part of the window/mirror/door lock mech. This is a complicated printed circuit board which is interlinked and therefore no-doubt very expensive. I am loathe to go out and buy a new "switch" when unsure of the outcome. By the way, all other functions on this board work ok. And unfortunately the window in question works one day perfectly--and the next nothing. The window is one of those kinds which open for a half inch when the door is ajar, and closes automatically when the door is shut. Consequently I cannot use the car effectively when the windw mech isn't working. Thanks again for your concern.

Thank you again Marty. I am awaiting a buy of a cd workshop manual---with the view that this will have a wiring diagram. Will try the continuity test next.

Andre, if the window works some times, it is not a fuse, or the motor, or a reset, it is probably just a bad window switch, (most common)..should be able to change without panel removal..good luck

the window switch is the switch you actualy push open or close on your door panel or your console depending on the model..(the window up/down button is the switch)...marty

    MARTY May 26, 2009

hello, you can try to test the switch if you have a multimeter that checks continuity! that would be the next step i would take, check if continuity exists when you depress the window switch, if not replace the switch, if you need i can find you a wiring diagram...good luck, marty

Fuse box diagram for 2004 lesabre

Hi there:
According with the 2004 Biuck Owners Manual there are some locations...

Engine Compartment Fuse Block: the engine compartment fuse block is located near the front on the passengers side of the vehicle.
See Engine Compartment Overview on page 5-12 for more information on location.

Rear Underseat Fuse Block: the rear fuse block is located beneath the rear seat on the drivers side. The rear seat cushion must be removed to access the fuse block.
See Removing the Rear Seat Cushion on page 5-95.

Fuse box diagram for ranger 4x

Hi Don:
Accordting with the 2001 Ford Ranger Owners Manual, you have several fuse locations...

Passenger compartment fuse panel: The fuse panel is located on the left hand side of the instrument panel facing the drivers side door.

Power distribution box: the power distribution box is located in the engine compartment. The power distribution box contains high current fuses that protect your vehicles main electrical systems from overloads.

If you need details about each fuse description, I suggest to look the right Owners Manual.

Hello I need help locating the fuse/relay for my power windows on my 2006 Pontiac G6. My windows are stuck in the down position.

The 2007 Pontiac G6 engine compartment fuse block is located on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the battery. The wiring circuits in Pontiac G6 are protected from short circuits by a combination of fuses, circuit breakers and fusible links. This greatly reduces the chance of damage caused by electrical problems. Below diagram and table shows 2007 Pontiac G6 Engine Compartment Fuse Panel, Relay and the Circuit Protected.

Is there a fuse for the power windows?

This is an experienced guess. It has to have either fuses or a circuit breaker. On Nissan's there are fuse blocks in the engine compartment and inside the car left upper panel. Usually the fuse cover is labeled.

2003 fairlady 350z fuse

Fuse Box should be located under the dash just beside the driver's door. It sounds like you may have a bigger issue than just a blown fuse. The interior lights are on one fuse, the instrument gauge is on another fuse, the rear window is on another fuse. For all three to blow, it would seem that there's an electrical short somewhere.

1991 jeep cherokee sport.. diagram of fuses. Windows will not go up or down. Wondering which fuse it is. Please help

I looked in a Haynes manual and the electrical diagram shows it to be a 30 amp fuse. How ever it dosen't show which fuse it is. It more than likely is in the fues block under the drivers side of the dash. If not there it might be in the Black fuse/ control center in the engine compartment near the battery.
