SOURCE: we had 2 1400 nissan ldv. Recently one got

These vehicles are ridiculously easy to get started and driven off without a key. Any security measures taken act only as a delay to the would-be thief. I'd suggest getting a tracking unit. Preferably the type that does not need a professional installation and can be monitored through the web. They require a once off payment and sometimes a nominal for the access to the monitoring service.
As for security measures you may want to connect a wire with a hidden switch to the wire leading from the distributor to the coil. connect the other end of the switch to earth. This will effectively short out the points and will prevent the vehicle from being started. This will only work with vehicles fitted with points and condensor and is only as effective as your ability to hide the additional wiring and switch. (under the hand-brake bracket is a good hiding place for the switch.) It does not damage any components and is safe to use on this vehicle. See below for a simplified diagram :

What is the correct float level setting for a Nissan 1400 pickup?

Where are the instructions for the rebuild kit? the level setting is listed in the instructions that came with the kit. The settings change from model year to model year and even more often if a problem occurs in fuel control. It also varies with the carburetor number. So really can't give a correct answer.

Nissan 1400 consuming too much petrol. How do you adjust air ratio in the carburator

No reference to your model 1400...but if it has a carburetor the air/fuel mixture is set with 2 screws on the front side...to adjust each one...car must be running, turn each screw clockwise until your motor starts to stall...then back out (counter-clockwise 1 1/2 turns from stall...should smooth out as fine tune adjusting...each screw must be re-set this way...could also be dirty or clogged air filter, dirty carb throttle body...and need new spark plugs...probably needs the standard parts tune-up...Hope this helps.

Spark plugs problems

if they come out black and powdery there is too much fuel.. if they come out sooty its burning oil.. you can increase the gap up to double and it should still fite.. may need a different styl plug like a split fire or airplane engine plug..they make different types but be careful in selecting becaue too hot of fire will burn out valves and possibly blow gaskets..
