Question about 2006 Chevrolet Colorado
I get really bad radio reception and am wondering if a new antenna would work or what my options are.
Check that the antenna wire is connected correctly in the radio and is not shorted out on the body somewhere. It is a co-ax cable the same as a TV and the braded bit has to be grounded on the body to complete the circuit while the internal wire has to be insulated right into the radio socket.

SOURCE: radio buttons stopped working
for gm the only solution is to replace the radio but you could take it out and into a electronic repare man it could be that the contact surfaces are bad.
