Question about 1996 Chevrolet Lumina Mini
Some vehicles have a tendency to start getting a lifter tap, when the engine's oil level comes down to the point where it is a quart or more low. I suggest you check the oil level, top it off if necessary, and check to see if it isn't due for an oil change. I would try the heaviest oil recommended for that vehicle..

one guy is right,it could be a vauxhall tap,even new vauxhall cars do the same.but lets be serious?to calm this and slow down the noise,get the tappeds checked out .it will need the cover removed and with engine running feeler gauges placed between tappeds it will revel one tapped loose and can be fixed within a couple of secnds.adrian,,,
