First I would charge the battery or connect boost leads, check all battery connections earth lead to body and engine. Radio and lights don't need high battery amps like the starter motor so they will work on a flat battery. If when a good battery is connected to the vehicle and it still clicks then the starter needs replacing.

Sounds like an Ignition Module or similar device. Does it have an alarm? Turn the key to ON - not start - and put into Drive and then back into Park. It may be the shifter isn't fully engaged. Also, w/your FOOT ON THE BRAKE shift to Neutral and try to start it.

Just finished driving car, tried to start it back up and nothing happens. Radio works fine, lights come up but car won't start.

if starter is not engaging or clicks then have battery load tested. if battery checks good then test the voltage draw on the starter, may be dragging when it gets hot.

maybe your ignition switch is moving dlightly out of the on position.

Try applying sight turing effort in each direction to see if the warning lights go off and the radio works, and the shift interlock solenoid clicks when you step on the brake pedal.
May need a new lock cylinder or ignition switch.

even though the lights and radio are working it could still be a battery issue. it takes more amps to start the engine than to run the lights and radio. if the battery is good then it could be a loose cable corrotion or a falty starter
