If the light is turned off you can safely replace it. If always on you may have to turn off the electrical circuit that supplies the hood.

Rotary bit generator for Whirlpool ERC (borg ERC2W) replacement part

Whirlpool model RF390PXVW0 control panel. Part number 3150200 (replaces 3148560). Borg Instruments ERC2W is the number on the board itself. This part costs somewhere around 250 to 300 dollars. The range isn't worth that much today. The device is called a "bit generator" on the diagram. I know that this is broken because I disassembled it and found one of the brass contacts to be bent backwards and it broke off in trying to straighten it.

Your duplicate question did not say it was a diesel.
Usually black smoke on a diesel is dirty injectors or the engine temp not reaching normal range.

Where is my transmission range sensor located

On the side of the transmission. Look at the lever that the shift cable pulls on. The transmission range sensor is the black assembly under that lever with the wire connector going to it.

Most batteries have just 2 terminals +ve (Red) and -ve (Black). Modern cars tend to have a -ve earth.

Normally -ve to black and ground +ve to read and HT system.

Lowes installed new whirlpool gold range yesterday. Turned on a top burner and there was a loud "bang" and the circuit breaker tripped. Now doesn't heat up at all. Range manual lists the same electrical...

Hello. DEFINITELY call Lowes and report what happened. They must come out with a new range and swap it for the defective one while it is still under warranty. Do not wait. Regards, Joe
