My 92 dodge caravan won't go in any forward gear but park, reverse and neutral warm fine

If engine RPM goes up when you try to go forward but vehicle won't move the forward gears is not engaging in transmission. Could be caused by several things. Check transmission fluid both level and condition mostly condition. Get a white paper towel whip dipstick on paper towel and look for any gray in fluid if transmission fluid is gray you have metal shavings in fluid. Most likely need a new or rebuilt transmission.

Bmw312i 2004. Lost forward power. Car went well until stopped on hill at lights would not go forward backed back to flat. Started very slow and then went ok

Without any further info, it sounds like a transmission fluid issue.
If it was running fine when level and started acting up while in an incline, you may not have sufficient transmission fluid in the transmission.
The fact that it started to move slowly then went ok once level is an indication. If you continue to drive in this condition, you could damage your transmission.
You should have your fluid checked (some of these newer transmission are 'sealed', meaning there is no 'dipstick', but any competent shop can check the level and the condition of the oil)
Are you the original owner? If you bought it used, you may have uncovered the reason for selling, which I've heard can be temporarily masked by using additives, etc.
Any major transmission repair is going to be expensive...2~3 k

How do I fix the transmission problem? The car is moving forward at neutral, drive and low gear, and switching to parking mode at reverse and parking. The car is not backing up at all.

Transmission may now be toast since you continued to drive it when maybe low on fluid or torque converter had failed. How long since last fluid and filter change? Ever?

I changed my transmission fluid and filter on 2006 rendezvous, now tranny slips a little on takeoff sometimes. No error codes have came up.

Not a lot to go on but you should have replaced with Dexron VI automatic transmission fluid. Start your car and let in run in park a min. then slowly move though all the gears...R N D 1 2 3 4 and back again slowly until you are in Park. With the engine still running pull the transmission dipstick out and wipe it with a cloth to clean off the fluid then reinsert it into the tube until fully seated. Pull it back out and check if the fluid level on the stick it should be within the operation range as marked on the dip stick. Add fluid as necessary with a funnel in the dipstick tube to bring level up to the operating range. DO NOT OVERFILL.

Blazer drives forward but not in reverse have been told transmission is out and not out

The two only causes I can think of for this IF it is an automatic is either low fluid or shifter alignment. Does the shifter align with the marks for all the forward gears? If you slowly go from park to drive, does reverse engage at any point?

If it is not fluid or shifter, then the transmission needs to be checked. Could be reverse gear or if lucky just the bands are not catching for reverse.

1999 buick park ave has loss of power when accelarating from stop

if your engne rpm race upward when you apply gas but the car move slowly, you have transmission problem. I had this same problem when my transmission gone bad. you may need to have it services or low on transmission fluid. if not the low fluid problem, then you have transmission gears defect.

2002 lincoln wont go forward but goes in reverse

Start the engine and allow it to get to operating temperature.

Place the gear selector in Reverse, then slowly through all the forward gears, while holding the brake.

Replace the selector in Park, but leave the engine running.

Check the transmission fluid level.

If low, add fluid until level is correct, then repeat above procedure and check fluid level again to ensure that transmission is filled to proper level.

If level is correct, perform fluid/filter exchange. If problem persists, see qualified service technician for further diagnosis. Transmission damage will require overhaul to repair.

Wont go in reverse but will go forward...

That is the way automatic transmissions usually die when they go slowly :( The reverse idler gear lets go, but the rest of the transmission is not very far behind. I've seen them go a while after reverse gave way, but not very long, usually the whole transmission will pile up pretty soon after. I'd look into getting that tranny rebuilt/replaced before it leaves you stranded and the tow call adds to the bill. The one thing i hate about automatics is the fact that, unlike manuals, they work just great one minute, and the next minute, they just quit working all together. Before anything else, just check your transmission fluid level with the motor running, transmission in neutral, parking brake set, but in your case, because it goes forward, the level is probably ok, the tranny probably has internal problems...
