SOURCE: How to put on Serpentine belt for 92 Chrysler Lebaron 3.o liter engine

Before replacing or installing the old belt you need to check all of the pulley's that the belt rides on for play. Pay special attention to the spring loaded tensioner pulley. They can sieze and cause the belt to come off.

I found this picture it is a bit large for the screen.

I would like to know how many o2 sensors are in a 2003 jetta 1.8t gas.

If you can locate the catalytic converter the front O2 sensor , referred to as sensor 1 or S1 , is located in the inlet pipe for the catalytic converter , 6" to 12" upstream.
The rear sensor , referred to as sensor 2 or S2 , is located in the outlet pipe , 6" to 12" downstream.
The exact distance from the catalytic converter varies by engine type , i.e , 2.O liter ,1.8 Turbo

This is Bank 1 (closer to the dash panel) Sensor 2 (located after the catalytic converter).

---
Note: A malfunctioning front oxygen sensor may cause fuel trim codes to set.
  1. Several Diagnostic Trouble Codes use specific terminology to refer to sensor location. The illustration and key below explain the following terms:
  2. Engine BANK Bank 1 is closer to the dash panel, (also referred to as RH or right hand). Bank 2 is closer to the radiator, (also referred to as LH or left hand).
  3. UP Refers to Sensor 1 or "front sensor". It is located closer to the exhaust manifold and before the catalytic converter.
  4. DOWN Refers to Sensor 2 or "rear sensor." It is located after the catalytic converter.
  5. The following examples show how to interpret oxygen sensor terminology:
  6. B1/S1 = Bank 1/Sensor 1 = Dash panel side, BEFORE the catalyst or "upstream"
  7. B2/S2 = Bank 2/Sensor 2 = Radiator side, AFTER the catalyst or "downstream"

Have a scan done on your car and have whoever scan the trans. computer. The trans. computer is detecting a problem with one of the sensors and puts the car into "limp in" mode. I positive that you don't need a new trans. It could be a 10 min. fix just a matter of unscrewing a sensor and screwing another one in. I've seen alot of problems with speed sensors, input, and output sensors. Have a scan done though because you don't want to just "throw" parts at it. Go to a shop that has an actual scanner and not a "code reader" like the part stores.
