Hand brake, Camry Altise

Hello, I researched this problem for you and it is a common problem with the Altise. It feels like you have to pull the E-Brake really far up I am assuming. Factories and Dealerships do not normally adjust these to each and individual car but this is not a complicated thing to do. Adjusting your parking break from your car can be some what complicated due to the amount of work you have to do to get to it inside your car. You may have to remove your console to get to the necessary screws to take your cover around your transmission selector out but if you mark and bad all your parts and screws and their locations this should not be difficult at all. You can also try to adjust the parking brake from under neath the car and you will probaly have to remove a cotter pin and a washer and then screw the lond U shaped connector at the front of your parking brake cable towards the rear of the vehicle to make it more tight. This may fix the long travel of the parking brake cable. Just take note that this is a common problem with your vehicle but with a little time you can make this a manageble fix that you will be happy with and I hope you fix this and are happy with the work you done as well.
