SOURCE: possible overheating, 2004 pontiac montana

Its definitly a bad reading, you would know if your vehicle is overheating, you can usually smell it right away.I would say its your temperature gauge sending unit is defective, check the wires to see if they are well connected or broken. ask a backyard mechanic for assistance.

Loud ticking noise when first staring, engine stalls sometimes when starting it unless I hold the gas pedal down

The TPS would be what I would do had that problem once myself solved the problem. as for the ticking noise sounds like a lifter is bleeding down as long as the noise goes away you will be ok. But may I suggest that if you are going to keep the vehicle for awhile longer you might want to have a set of lifters put in it.

Accelerating

You didn't say what year it is but on later models,2004 and up there is a fuse for the throttle control, check in the box under the hood for a fuse marked ETCS, try a new fuse in it's place.

Club cart doesn't always start

This is not really a car question, but you are probably right on your hunch. There should be a switch under the floor that is connected to the gas pedal. There may also be a switch in the linkage where it makes contact with the engine.

I have an issue with a 87 toyota pick up carburetor. Sometimes it doesnt want to start and sometimes it does a friend told me its that diaphram on the front of the carb with the 3 bolts but he could not...

Okay, your freind may be right, that part is called the accelerator pump, it is used for starting the truck, when you pump the gas to start it this pumps a few squirts of gas into the carb. what concerns me is that you hold the gas pedal to the floor to start it, most of the time an internal leaking carb floods the engine and holding the pedal down will let it start, a quick test would be to use a carb cleaner spray and before trying to start the truck hit the gas pedal and see if inside from the top of the carb look and see if you see a squirt of gas spray out, you will need some one to push the gas pedal or you can do it at the carb, if it squirts gas then the accelerator pump may be good and carb may be leaking and need rebuilding but if it doesnt squirt then its bad and then i want you to spray the carb cleaner into the carb and try to start the truck and if its due to the accel pump then after you spray into carb the truck should fire up and run without having to hold the pedal to the floor, if thats the case then replace accel pump if it still doesnt fire until you hold gas down then crab needs rebuilding . good day. hope this is helpful.

My 1994 Acura Integra engine is flooded and it won't start n this only happens when it gets too cold so how do I get it to start

Try holding the gas pedal down to the floor. Do not pump it, just hold it down and crank the engine.
Don't burn out the starter, but don't release the gas pedal, between cranks. That should flush out the excess gas and hopefully the engine will catch in the process, when the mixture is just right.
No guarantees for this one..

How do i reset the computer after i have changed the oil?

Turn the key to the on position, with the engine off, then right away, within 5 seconds, push and release the accelerator (gas) pedal three times and hold it, you will see the change oil soon light flash 5 times, then you know it was reset. Restart vehicle and check. Sometimes it takes a few tries.
