2002 Chev Tahoe ac is blowing through defroster vent only not blowing through dash board vent

There is a mode door in the plenum box with the heater core and fan. This door can come loose, break, get jammed or the actuator motor for it can fail. Look under the dash for the box and see if you can check the connections for motion when you change the mode.

I have no heat in my 2002 Tahoe. Could it be the Thermostat or the Heater Core? I really can't afford to take it to a dealership or a mechanic right now. Would like to do the work myself

When your driving down the road what does your temp gauge read? If it is in the normal place, about the middle, than the thermostat is working. The next thing to check is the coolant level. Make sure the overflow and the radiator are full. If the radiator gets low enough the first thing to stop working is the heat. If both of those are full than feel the hoses going to the heater core. They should both feel hot with the engine fully warmed up. If one is cold and one is hot than the heater core is plugged. Back flushing the heater may bring it back to life. Check those out first. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using!

Ive got a chevy tahoe 2002 and the passenger side window wont roll up all the way. When i get it up all the way it slides down about 4 inches

Assuming you have power windows. Had similar problem on 2000 Buick LaSabre. Had to replace electric motor drive assembly inside of door. The motor moves a steel cable around nylon/plastic pulleys. In time the cable cuts into the pulley. Access motor assembly by removing inner door panel. I had to purchase assembly from the dealer ($$$). Digital snapshots as you disassemble will help you reassemble. Job took about 1.5 hours, and I had never done it before.

The inlet hose to the heater core is the one from the water pump and the return goes to the engine. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to answer any questions you may have.
