Change your blower motor resistor, common problem, where certain speeds will work intermittently and eventually complete failure. Located under the dash behind the glovebox. My #5 just quit working, I will be doing this tomorrow. My last TB, same thing happened. My neighbors TB same problem, only her female connector was melted that plugs into the resistor. My current TB is melted too, so I need to replace the connector and the resistor. This problem is so common in TB's and Envoys, it should be a recall.

What causes the interior blower motor to run & quit sporadically even with no A/C running?

Hi Milton, Sounds like another problem with the motor or the power supply to it. Check the connections first and then the motor. Regards John

Electronic Climate Control. The blower comes on sometimes and does not come on sometimes. I was wondering if this was a common problem and if it is, what is the usual cause. I assume it is a short or

Still sounds like something in the wiring. I would first recheck the connector on the blower motor by wiggling it - not unusual to see an intermittent failure of the wiring inside the motor. This could also be an intermittent fault in the blower resistor pack or connector.

2001 T&C LXi - front blower fan is working intermittently

Hello! to answer your question; No...The intermittent operation is more than likely being caused by loose or oxidized contacts in the motor connector plug...Blower motor switch connector or the blower motor resistor plug...go to Radio Shack and purchase a product called DeOxit...cost $15...It's a two spray can package...A cleaner and contact protector spray...Cans are small you do not need much...Spray all three plugs; both male and female pins...You will notice a bubbling action...No wiping off...This is a no touch spray...This should clear up the problem...On the blower switch plug is a Black/Orange wire which goes to ground...Using an ohmmeter check this wire for zero ohms to ground...On the X10 scale...If you do not read zero ohms...The connection of this wire needs to go to bare metal chassis ground...

The HVAC blower motor intermittent failure. some times on and quits after a short. Sometimes no problems at all!

Could be the dash fan switch, or the blower resistor pack, or the blower itself, or a loose connector.

Blower fan in '06 pontiac solstice works intermittently. Where is the fuse and is it the fuse or a connection problem?

I would check for the ground.
If the fuse is blown it would not work intermittantly.. it could be a loose fuse (not likely).. more likely a ground wire is a little loose...this SHOULD be on the motor...not sure where the blower motor is but it should be under the hood on the firewall, between the motor and the interior of the car...examine and wiggle the wires to see what happens, secure the ground if you find the loose wire..

The blower motor works intermittently

the problem could be caused by loose connections, bad wiring or the motor may be going out. You may want to do some visual inspections first on the electrical of the blower motor. Inspect the wires, its connections, the fuse, relays and the motor itself. You may substitute the motor if you have a spare to test if the motor is bad or the electrical connections.

2008 Saturn Aura - blower motor works intermittently. When not working - no speeds work. Does cool & heat. How to I get to the blower motor?

I would first check the plug to the blower and possibly the plug to the resistor, sometimes these get hot and will loose connection.

Blower motor (AC/Heat) only works on High

It could be worn contacts on the HVAC selector switch. It could also be a bad blower motor but I would check the switch first; contacts lose continuity from a lot of use and wear down. both should be able to be had from a junkyard for rather cheap. I would suggest a loose connection but I don't think that is the case here unless the problem were intermittent.

Good luck!!

Heat/ac blower motor works on high. intermittent on other speeds.

Check the blower resistor pack - usually located in the heater air ducting in the blower fan airflow. Check for loose connections and open circuit resistors on the unit.
If speed 4 works always, its unlikely to be the blower motor ground connection.
