I have a Chevy Colorado which I think is the same dash. I found the connector for the blower resistor was burnt up. I ended up replacing the resistor and connector. I found the parts at my local Napa store. The resistor is located under the glove box door on the bottom of the heater case. Unplug it and see if the connector has gotten hot (melted) if so replace both.

Why does'nt my heater fan work?

There could be a number of reasons. Fan is bad, fan area in box is so clogged it doesn't allow fan to spin, a bad switch at instrument panel, a bad resistor, bad connections. I would start by removing the fan. I believe you will have to go in behind the glove box. Remove the fan and check to see if it works, it may be fine if bad replace. Check inside of box for leaves and any other kind of clutter that may be preventing fan from spinning. Check wires to fan for mouse damage. Mice can take there toll on a cars wiring. If all is well so far check the switch in your dash. Switches are funny, some last a life time some don't. I believe you will find your problem, following these steps. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

The front fan of the climate control system doesn't work. What fuse do I replace.

It probably isn't blown. The most common failure is the blower motor itself. The brushes wear out. Start the van, turn the fan on and hit the blower motor, located above your feet when sitting in the passenger seat. Just smack it with the palm of your hand. If it comes on you know the blower is worn out. Not too expensive, and easy to replace, 3 screws hold it in. The next most common failure is the resister. Now you need a volt meter, or a test light, and a wiring diagram. But it usually lets the blower work on high only.

A/C blower fan quit working

An intermittent motor is usually caused by deteriation of the motor cummutator or brushes. This will get worse with time, so I would go ahead with the repair. Ask the mechanic to also make sure the system is in good order to avoid a repeat of the early failure. A clogged drain or coolant leak can cause premature blower failure.

Blower not working

To determine the cause of a blower fan failure, isolate the motor, and perform some basic electrical tests.Check fuses first. Fuse failure often causes component failure. Check for power at the motor itself. Test the connection to the blower motor. Test the switch.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2002 Sonato blower fan resister

A clogged cabin air filter can cause repeat resistor failures. A bad blower fan can also cause repeat resistor failure.

Heater does not work

Check heater fuse.
If fuse good - could be a failure of the blower fan motor or blower control switch.
If fuse bad - bad blower fan motor could have blown the fuse.
DO: check fuse, then blower motor.
Pricing: new blower motor: Duralast PM270 $43.99
new heater control switch: Duralast SW229 $46.99 (without
A/C).
I'd expect your blower resistor to be good - when they fail, the blower only will work on HIGH setting.

I?ve had many blower fan motor failures in such a short time?

This is Typical around this YEAR, if the Blower Resistor Is ok they should give you a Few Years service. The VOLTAGE READINGS Are GOOD that your Friend Checked. Be Sure the GROUNDS are RENEWED on these Vehicles as POOR GROUNDS are Pretty Typical for failure also around that Year
