Question about 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
I bought a new blower motor resistor because the guy at autozone told me thats what it was and he also told me that it's by the glove compartment when i take it out but i can't find it. Maybe send me a diagram along with more specific details. My car is a 2000 Chevy Monte Carlo 3.4 Liter engine
This is what you are looking for. I've got a similar problem and need to get my blower motor resistor out. I've found the resistor, but it has no bolts holding it in. It has what looks like torx or something similar, but nothing will fit. In fact, they look like they are plastic and possibly stripped out. If you have any luck let me know how you got it out.

Hi revove the hush pannel under the glove box
Then under the dash you will see the blower motor
the wires that plug into the blower motor follow them and you will see the resistor (other side of the blower motor close to the firewall)
it is very tight so you may want to remove the blower motor to have more room
there are 3 (5.5mm) bolts to remove the resistor
replace the resistor and reassemble
sorry no picture hope this helps
