SOURCE: 20 amp fuse in the box under hood that keeps blowing
Does it only do this when the heat or A/c is on full blast.. ( I had a few of my customers with this problem and they needed a new blower motor..)
SOURCE: fuel pump fuse blowing
replace the fuel pump, it is drawing to much current, this is common when the pump bearings get worn out, also make sure you replace the fuel pump connector at the fuel tank connection, it will be burnt..

Make sure that is the correct amp fuse for that ,the alternator, also, check the large wire on the alternator, make sure it is not touching anything.

Hello Steven.
The problem will most likely be between the ignition switch and the interior fuse panel if it goes as soon as you turn key to "on".
If it were after the interior fuse panel, the fuses within the interior panel would blow.
You will need to look at the wiring out of the switch for a short to ground. Perhaps the harness is rubbed through under the dash.
The gray/yellow, light green/pink and black/light green are the ones that power up when key turned on.
If it blows when the starter is tried look at the red/light blue out of the switch. This is what activates the starter circuit.
This circuit is also protected in the interior fuse panel so another reason I suspect the problem is under the dash near the ignition switch.
Check it out and let me know if you need more assistance.
Thank you for using FixYa.
