Does it only do this when the heat or A/c is on full blast.. ( I had a few of my customers with this problem and they needed a new blower motor..)

SOURCE: fuel pump fuse blowing

replace the fuel pump, it is drawing to much current, this is common when the pump bearings get worn out, also make sure you replace the fuel pump connector at the fuel tank connection, it will be burnt..

SOURCE: On my 1996 ford explorer

Hello Steven.

The problem will most likely be between the ignition switch and the interior fuse panel if it goes as soon as you turn key to "on".
If it were after the interior fuse panel, the fuses within the interior panel would blow.

You will need to look at the wiring out of the switch for a short to ground. Perhaps the harness is rubbed through under the dash.
The gray/yellow, light green/pink and black/light green are the ones that power up when key turned on.

If it blows when the starter is tried look at the red/light blue out of the switch. This is what activates the starter circuit.
This circuit is also protected in the interior fuse panel so another reason I suspect the problem is under the dash near the ignition switch.
Check it out and let me know if you need more assistance.
Thank you for using FixYa.

08 ford lariat f150. Fuse 14 keeps blowing. The starter engages while running and blows the fuse. The starter is not on fuse 14, any suggestions?

What engine ? Fuse 14 , where > under hood fuse box or inside fuse box ? If central junction box inside vehicle ,that fuse powers the heated PCV - positive crankcase ventilation valve . 10 amp fuse . Also powers ,digital transmission range sensor . Your digital range sensor is probably shorted inside . This could cause the problem your having .

Which fuse in the fuse box belongs to headlights in 2002 Ford Escape?

The fuse box is beside the battery under the hood. The fuses and what they relate to is marked under the lid of that fuse box. Use same size fuse if it needs replacing. If in doubt check all the 15 to 30 amp fuses.

Blowing 50 amp fuse under hood in 2002 crown vic

To blow a fifty amp fuse would take a major short circuit, referred to as a 'dead short' this means that a wire with 12 volts positive (+) is in direct contact with an Earth (-). If you follow the path of the power you will find where this is happening. sometimes you may need to temporarily disconnect some contacts

2002 chevy van 2500 when i turn key to start van

Fuses only blow if-Old,Overheated or you have a Short circuit.
That should be any easy fix,to the extent that there aren't many 40 Amp Fuses and you will need a wiring diagram to follow the problem from the fuse to the cause. If you know what fuse it is, you can guess, but I wouldn't recommend that,it will be time consuming and maybe costly ,if you don't have a test procedure to follow and throw parts at it.
Don't replace the fuse.Their expensive and will keep blowing.
