The window came off the track. you need to take the door apart and put it back on the track.

SOURCE: passenger side power window wont roll up

The problem may be in the wiring which if you pull up the carpet on the front passenger side by removing the door floor trim and lifting the carpet you will see the wiring underneath. Probably laying in water or has been. Look for splices in the wiring which will have corroded. Repair the wiring then check the fuse.
Another problem may be in the motor found inside the door. The brushes may have worn out. If so you need to replace the motor. Ususally the drivers side will fail first since it is the most used.

SOURCE: 1997 Jeep Wrangler Door Lock Gets Stuck in Cold Weather

Shopping list: Spray can of "White Lithium grease" and a spray can of WD-40 or similar penetrating lubricant, and spray the door latch assy, inside out, with WD-40 first. Even if you have to put window down & aim spray nozzle from top at area of latch, and soak it. Stick the nozzle inside the key slot also, and give it a few squirts. After you let it sit for a minute or 2 start working the lock on door, lock ,unlock, lock, unlock, until you feel it getting easier, now do same with key, until it starts to loosen up. Once you get it working freely, give it a few minutes, and do same with "white lithium grease". That will hopefully protect it from seizing (rusting) up again. Every once in a while when you think of it, give latch another shot of lithium grease. I usually try to do mine before & after winter, or whenever I start to feel it getting a little stiff again. Worst thing is the glass you have to clean if you aim spray too much toward glass, but small price to pay for not having to pull door panel off. If your door panel is easy to get off to allow for better access to back of latch assy, that would definately be better, but that's up to you & your experience with tools. Then you can be sure you got all the related linkages lubed where they need to be.

SOURCE: How can I fix the door handle on the inside of 1999 Toyota Coroll

It's probably broken, or unhooked. Just take your inner door panel off, and you'll soon figure out what's happening. Sometimes the rods get bent, or they come off the clip, or just need adjusting. And sometimes the handle itself is broken, but you can do it!

SOURCE: my golf mk4 tdi boot wont open atall

I take it this a normal key not a electronic one, normal key has teeth, get some powered graphite from the parts store, hold open the little key entry door on lock, spray in graphite(plenty),move key in and out of lock until smooth, more graphite, put key in lock, gently turn key side to side, more graphite, work the lock, everything should loosen up, never use liquid lubricants on locks

You need to have the alternator checked. Sounds as if it has a bad diode or internal regulator.

Ford focus 2001. rear window drops down and wont go back up, motor working, any ideas, grinding noise when operated

I presume there is a slippage in the drive of the window winder. Open carefully the window flaps, first of all look carefully as you press for the motor to function. when the grinding noise come on, slowly life up the base of the glass support to see if it is holding. If this works open out the mechanism, check the cords/ reel/ gear for fault and replace. Hope you get this right. Try with patience / caution. Hope my advice works . Good day

Windows barely work in cold weather, but work fine in warm weather

thats becouse the runners that the glass run in are dry and tight, try putting some lube in them,,,if they get water soaking into them when that water freezes it grips the glass,, free them off before the window motors burn out

Where is the thermostat located on the 2000 ford expedition eddie bauer model - blowing cold air, had hard time starting today because temperature is about 20 degrees. no oweners manual

During the winter, try using a higher octane gas. it fires off quicker which will start the car faster. Put about 1/2 tank of high octane, this will also clean the valves and injectors. I usually put a bottle of octane booster in my 2001 expedition 2x's a year. It has octane rating of 109. only one bottle per full tank. t sounds like it just needs a cleaning. If you can stand the cold weather, clean your throttle body which will make a big difference. Follow the top radiator hose from the radiator to it's ending point, that is your thermostat. Can be aggravating to change.

TRIED TO PUT REAR WINDOW DOWN DURING COLD WEATHER. IT STOPPED AND WILL NOT GO UP AGAIN. NOT GOOD IN COLD WEATHER. HOW TO FIX? TOM , COLORADO

Get someone to pull up on it while you are pushing the button to see if it is the motor or the wireing. If it does'nt go up then look at the wire harness in the drivers door post, between the door and the inner fender to see if there are broken wires.

High pitch noise when turn key to start / engine not turning over

Check your battery first. Cold weather does horrible things to car batteries... if it's more of a grinding sound I would say that your starter gear is bad. I believe they call it a ring gear? I had a similar problem with a kushman scooter that I use to deliver snowcones through the neighborhoods. It has teeth that need to engage and if those teeth have been grinded down it will have a hard time engaging....
