Question about 2005 Pontiac G6
I have a 2007 Pontiac G6 that came with two key less remotes. My car is now out of warranty and the remotes have stopped working. I replaced the batteries with no luck. I found that if I remove the circuit board from the plastic housing the remote works. The rubber buttons, on the remote, are no longer closing the circuit and activating the remote. I am trying to find out what is placed on the buttons at the factory that could have worn off.
TRY TAKING THE REMOTES APART, LOOK AT THE SPOTS WHERE THE KEYS TOUCH. IF THEY LOOK BLACK USE A SMALL PIECE OF MAROON SCOTCH-BRITE TO CLEAN THEM BACK TO A BRASS LOOKING SHINE.
ALSO TRY HOLDING THE LOCK AND UNLOCK BUTTONS AT THE SAME TIME TO RESYNC THE REMOTES TO THE CAR.
