Question about 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse
1996 Mitsubishi Galant - The car will rev up to 3000 RPM before it will accelerate. It will also sometimes stall out when it is stationary (in drive). The car has rolled in reverse like it's in neutral. Lots of vibration in the car also.
HI, sounds like a tranny issue. you will need to check the fluid level in the transmission. if the level is proper, this will confirm gear pack failure. you will need to rebuild the tranny soon. you ca inspect the condition of the transmission by dropping the pan. if you notice any metal fragment on the bottom of the pan, this will confirm major gear friction and failure.
This is major slippage.
