Hi there, you need to make sure all wires to spark plugs are tight and very snug, you will also need to check the distributer cap to make sure no burns are on it, and make sure the plugs are in proper firing positions, the spark rotation might be out of sequence.....also make sure spark plugs are clean of all oil, and dirt, firing pin in distributer cap might be bad.....hope this helps....shia

My 2001 Hyundai sonata died while driving and will not start turns over cranks but wont start fuel pump? crank shaft position sensor ? where is the location of fuel shut off value help

no inertia switch or fuel switch--fuses or relays ---to test the fuel pump easiest is to spray starter fluid if it fires you have a fuel problem if doesn't fire look into ignition [ spark]

Why car my car start?

No spark? Then there is probably no signal to trigger the spark. Possible causes:
1) Cam position sensor.
2) Crank position sensor (you replaced it)
3) Coils (already replaced)
3) Wiring and connections to and from coils (bad grounding points or bad live feeds)

Suggestion: Stop the guessing and spending with "probable" causes. Have the car scannned for error codes and start from scratch according to error codes.

Why car my car start?

there are 2 pieces to the crankshaft sensor...one is a little round thing that is mounted under the valve cover on the driver side. The other part plugs into this and the cable runs down under the other side of the engine. The sensor is inside the timing belt cover.

i had your problem a month ago and had the little round part replaced and that worked for me.

How to test ignition coil on 2005 hyundai sonata

I'd take a spark plug out...connect its plug wire to it...lay the plug on something metal and crank engine while watching spark gap and see if you have a nice spark.
Thats the easiest test...

Hope this helps...

07 hyundai sonata cranks fine, won't start, fuses all good. First time this has ever happened

Two primary things fairly easy to check:
- Ignition: Pull any spark-plug wire and position it with the open connector close to any major metal part (ground) and crank the engine for a few seconds to see if spark is present.
- Fuel: Check on the fuel rail that feeds the injectors for a fitting similar to (but larger than) a tire valve. Fuel pressure should be present after having the ignition in the 'Run' position of the ignition lock. (Make sure it isn't part of the AC system!) The fitting may have a threaded cap on it. Once you are sure that you have the right fitting, Press the valve core briefly without exposing your eyes to the spray to ensure that some fuel pressure and fuel is present.
If you find nothing checking these two things, you may need professional help.
If you find one of these two missing, comment back to this thread for further assistance.
