Question about 1996 Audi A4
Both headlights went out, but the high beams work. I checked the fuses, they weren't blown. Could it be a loose wire?
Nope, it's the stalk/switch - they're VERY common failures on these cars. I've had my 99 for 40k miles (bought it used) and I'm on my third one. It's $158 from www.ecstuning.com (it's called the "combination switch") and the install is about 45 minutes and requires removal of the airbag and steering wheel.
If you're in the NE US, reply with an email address and I can contact you and do it for you.
