If the car is missfireing, don't try to patch it one plug at a time. go ahead and replace them all at once. It will save you 5 more cylenders to hunt later.

Where is spark plug located on lincoln ls 3.0eng 2002

The spark plugs in the v6 can become an involved job as the upper intake manifold. The LS uses a Coil on Plug (COP) ignition system, meaning that the spark plugs are located under the ignition coil

Replacement Spark Plugs Continually Misfiring for Cyl. #1

Locate the ignition coils - they are mounted on the ignition module. Remove the wide connector that goes to the module. You will have to unscrew it first. Spray some WD40 on the connector pins and try to scrub them with a tip of a small screwdriver. Be delicate not to brake or bend anything. Reconnect the connector. Start the engine and see if it still misses.
If it still does, try to touch/move each of the wires that go to the ignition module. BE VERY CAREFUL not to touch any of the moving parts of the engine as you have to do it with engine running.

If it still misses, do the following.
1. Engine off
2. Mark the ignition wires so that you reconnect them later in the same order
3. Locate the coil which gives spark for cyl 1
4. Switch locations of this coil with any of the two remaining coils
5. Reconnect the wires
6. Start the engine

If it now misses on another cylinder, you will have to buy a new coil.

Misfiring ...check engine light came on..Had test done on it they said I needed to change spark plugs and coils . Will that take care of the issue at hand?

Not really

There is no test, that knows about your spark plugs

Spark Plugs get changed at 70,000 miles and the L/S
has a special plug ,with a certain size center electrode

They are made by NGK,even if they say Motorcraft

You only change the bad coil, usually only 1 coil.

Ylinders Misfiring

you have to give it a tune up!!! According to your computer one of your plugs is fouled up so bad it cant get spark. So go to autozone go buy plugs, wires. thats the cheapest way. but if you want to get better gas mileage and keep your car in good running condition get the cap and rotor, and pcv valve, and a fuel filter. This is what u replace in a true tuneup. but if your tight for money right now just do those plugs and wires.

I need to know where the 3, 5, 8, spark plugs are located

Normally on a ford, 1,2,3,4 is left side standing in front of crankshaft pulley, 5,6,7,8 is usually right side. I suspect your getting a misfire code on those 3?

Dtc code p0351 \ ignition misfire coil "A"

This is usually cause by either the oxygen sensors or can also be cause by either the ignition coil packs, located on top of the spark plugs. In some cases, a simple fuel filter chage will solve the prob. Located on the inside of the pass side frame rail
