Couple of things, first, do you have lights in the interior.....headlights?

Second, check the battery, or, see if you can jump it. If you can jump it, that's a start.

Now, the click, do you know if it is the fuel pump relay clicking or if the sound may be your starter.

If you have low battery power, take the battery into an automotive parts store and have it tested to see if it has a bad cell or it is just "done".

If the car battery is good and you put the charged or new battery in and you are still just getting a click, then it is your starter.

The bettery check is free so I would go with the battery check first. Then, put it in your car and try to start it. If you only get a click....then your starter is bad.

Last, if the car was running fine and had no other problems before this, then there is a chance that the alternator is faulty and is not charging the battery which in turn, is not giving you the "juice" to turn your starter.

2004 Ford Explorer wont click or turn over

First check the starter relay, see if it is getting voltage when the key is turned - if Yes and it is not clicking then the relay is bad, not very expensive. If the relay is not getting any voltage then either check the fuses to the ignition or the ignition switch itself.

My 98 ford explorer wont start all the sudden, just one click...all the lights and stereo work...just suddenly wont start...what do i do

One single click every time you turn the key to the crank position is a pretty good indicator that the starter is bad. You can confirm this by checking for power on the small red wire while a helper holds the key in the crank position and making sure that the large red wire has battery power as well (this only works when the vehicle will not start). If both of those check out fine than replacing the starter will likely fix the problem.

Have to turn key on and off several timesbefore fuel pump works 92 hinds accord

No, a '97 Ford Explorer fuel pump is not compatible with a '92 Ford Explorer. The differences ranging from fuel pressure to incorrect intake size will damage the vehicle's fuel system and possibly the engine itself.------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My ford explorer wont start my key goes to access but when i turn it to start nothing not even a clicking noise

ok, Make sure the battery connections are clean, remove and clean to make sure. Then, follow the battery + cable to a solenoid. check those connections. The small wire is the one from the key. That is what cranks the motor. Make sure the vehicle is in neutral and try again. If nothing, then jump the batt+ to the cable on the other side of the solenoid. The starter will crank. Then, jump the + to the little oost. The engine will crank and if your key is on it will start. Always have someone in the drivers seat when doing this..... Safety is a must when out of vehicle. Good Luck, Ned.

Did you have the key programmed to the vehicle? If not you will need to have another key (2 keys) and have them programmed by a ford dealer. Good Luck
