Question about 1988 Honda Accord 4 Door

1988 Honda Civic Loud Rattle

I have a Loud Rattle coming from my 1988 honda Civic Wagon. I've had, tons of repairs done to it recently and the mechanic didnt say anything about it. Likely because he didnt hear it on a residential road test.
It only happens at freeway speeds. In 4th gear  between 50-60 MPH and in 5th gear between 55-70 MPG unless I am acclerating quickly.. Generally this puts the rattle at between 2-3 RPM's for my old girl.
I love this car, but I can't afford another Massive Rapir so I'd like to know what it might be. Oh, it comes from the pass side as well. It doesn't seem to be affecting the cars performance and my check engine light is not on. Its just a very loud rattle.

ANy help or advice is greatly appreciated.

First suggestion is to jack the car and spin the tire...this is the free troubleshooting steps first (before a garage has to do the checking!), then turn the steering wheel with the car still jacked.

Don't forget to put jackstands under the car....if you can't do any of this, then the best suggestion is to go to a place where they would look at it for free, give you an estimate and then post what you found here on this website and we can help you.

It sounds like you may have a loose heatshield (just a possibility!), or a cv joint that may be going out, or something worse.

If you know what AAMCO tarnsmission is, they do inspections for free and will not pull anything aprat without your permission.....AND IT'S FREE!!!!

Please let me know what you find okay!

Okay, so a rattle and not vibration? Like, there is a coke can rattling around and not a vibration as if something was loose and giving the feeling of a buzz in the vehicle?

Does it sound like it is coming from the engine, frontend suspension, or underneathe in the middle of the car? Also, any vibrations in the steering wheel?

It sounds like you have a piece of metal of some sort floating around the engine area, Take a look in any holes that you can fit your finger into and grab a flash light at the same time so that you can see in the holes, If you can get a flexible magnet to put in the holes drag it around slowly so that you don't risk missing a spot. And if there is something in the hole it will catch it just take your time when doing that you may be surprised on what you may find. And for the tough areas also make sure that you have a small mirror.

1993 Honda Civic rapid heating

Sounds like your electric cooling fan(behind the radiator) is not functioning. The thermostat might not be working, making the fan
not come on at all. I once put a toggle switch in my dash, when I had
an old CRX, just to turn on the fan, or it would overheat.
