There is no symbol for a fuse location on my fuse board or in the picture, does my radiator fan just work of a relay, and if so where can I find this relay

Your fan motor runs off the engines temperature sending unit located on the termostat housing. If this sensor is not working, the gauge inside your vehicle will go to hot right away an indication your sensor is faulty. If you disconect the sensor conection from the fan your far should start working..but it will run and never shut off. This means temperature sending unit needs changing.

Overheating: cooling fan won't ingauge

I would first check the fan relays make sure they are good ..If no problem there then i would disconnect the wires going to the cooling fan..turn on your a/c ..that should activate the fan even if the vehicles cold ..see if you have voltage across the wires plug the meter right into the wire you should have 12 volts..if you do then its the fan..if the fan comes on during a/c but dont come when vehicle gets hot, then its probably the temperature senser that tells the fan to come on..Its located near the thermostat.

1996 Honda Odyessey engine cooling fans don't come on and engine on and engine temperature tends to go up. it will only come on when the AC is switched on. i do not need to run the AC all the time but i...

Check all fuses first. if the fuses are okay, disconnect the engine cooling fan connector and using jumper wires, connect the fan motor directly to the battery and ground. If the fan still doesn't work, replace it. If the fan does work, its relay may be faulty. Check in the engine compartment fuse box for the cooling fan relays. Try switching the cooling fan relays and see if the engine fan comes on and the a/c condensor fan stops working. If so, the engine cooling fan relay is faulty. If the engine fan still doesn't come on with a good relay, then check the engine temperature switch located at the passenger end of the front cylinder head. It is supposed to switch (have continuity) when the engine temperature reaches 205 deg F. You can remove the switch and put it in a pot of close to boiling water (212 deg F). If it doesn't have continuity at that temperature, it is defective.

My fans wont turn on and when i stop temperature starts rising

It could be the fan relays. The relays are located in the main fuse box under hood. Also, have the fan motors checked out as well. To determine if it is the relay, simply remove a relay identical to the fan relay and switch them out. Start the engine and turn on the a/c (if equipped). The fans should run. If not, then the motors are bad.

Where is and what does the cooling system fan relay look like? i have determined that the switch that turns on the fan that cools the radiator is bad but can't find it.

The fan temperature sensor,(Fan switch), is activated by the cooling systems coolant. Activated by it's temperature.
It's located under the hood, passenger side, upper engine area, below the alternator, and mounted in the intake manifold.
My money, is on the fan temperature sensor being bad.

The fan switch will usually be cylindrical shaped, the bottom is made of brass, and the top has a black insulator material, with a rubber type plug on top. The plug will have two wires coming out, going into the engine wiring harness. One wire is Black, one wire is Yellow.

The fan relay is located in a relay panel. I can't tell you at present, whether it's in a black plastic box, that you remove a cover to access it, or the relay is exposed. If it's in a plastic box, under the cover it should state what each relay is for, and where they are located inside the box.

The relay panel is under the hood, on the passenger side, front engine area, on the passenger side of the radiator.

Temperature sensor problem?

There are 2 different circuit that control the cooling fans.
The engine controller turns the low speed fan circuit on to control temperature and turns on the high speed fan circuit if the engine and A/C is running.
It sounds like your low speed fan function is not working.
Find your fan 1 fuse located in the under hood fuse panel and make sure it is not blown. If OK go to next step.
Find your fan 1 relay located in the under hood fuse panel. Find another relay in the fuse panel that matches and swap the two. If the fan then works you know you have a bad relay.
If both are check good, let me know and we will go from there.
Below, I have attached the wiring diagram for your cooling system, hope it helps.

1994 2.2L toyota camry radiator fans do not work

Hi.....

The Normal Temperature Range to the Fan Start is: A/C ON 181 F.
A/C OFF 199 F. When the Engine Reach this Temperature the Fan should start.

OK. Do this simple test.
1---- Start the engine, Desconnect the ECT Switch located on the Radiator,
See if the Fan come ON. If yes, if not go to step #2
Connect the ECT SWITCH and leave the car Running and with a Temperature gage.
See the temperature, if the Temperature go more than 199 F.
Turn the Engine OFF.
Disconnect the ECT sensor and check for Ground at the WHITE/BLACK wire.
If ground exist, Replace the ECT switch.
But if not. Check the wire for any damaged, and the ground at the Front Left Fender.
Repair as need.

2---- check the Fuse link RDI FAN . 30 amp.
Check the Fuse link CDS FAN 30 amp.
Replace if need.
And Return to step # 1.
Check the Radiator fan Relay, Rad fan relay 2 and 3. Replace if need.

Ok. I hope this help on your question.
I can give to you the WIRING DIAGRAM of the Fans, But I need a E-MAIL adress to do that.

Thank you for use fixya....
