SOURCE: PO700 CODE ON 2002 JEEP LIBERTY

This code is simply telling you to checkfor transaxle codes. if they tell you that the TCM is bad . They are wrong. you need to get a special code for the transaxle. Sorry, but thats all the P0700 code means.

SOURCE: are the 3.7 liter jeep liberty known for head

any vehicle can have any component fail at anytime. The only way to know is to have it inspected for the correct diagnosis if your experiencing problems. If you want a second opinion because you don't trust the first one then your only going to get that at a repair shop.

SOURCE: My jeep liberty 2004

there appears to be a problem with your crank position sensor and your oil pressure switch.

  • The crank position sensor or its connection is probably at fault. The engine needs the signal that the crank postion sensor provides to inject fuel and supply spark at the correct time.

    Fault code 765

Fault code "765"? This is NOT a legitimate fault code for a 2004 Jeep Liberty. You should probably try scanning again using the proper equipment.

since that particular tranny is heavily computer controlled you need to hook the car up to a diagnostic computer for that problem.

2002 jeep liberty auto trans check engine lte on code p0700 and will not shift of=ver 2nd gear when goes into 3rd gear it feels like in neutral

p0700 is pretty much the generic code for saying the computer that controls your transmission has a problem, it may not be the actual computer its self, but one of its sensores, or a bad wire, i would recomend taking it to a reputable transmission shop
