Battery drain on 30a fuel injector fuse 99 ford escort

The power through the fuse is to the fuel pump, this only runs long enough to pressure the fuel behind the injectors so that when they open the fuel is an high pressure. So you will normally hear it when you put the key in and turn it, before you start the engine, and then while driving it will be on. Your fuel pump is running longer than usual, because the fuel is not getting up to sufficient pressure. This would also account for the poor running. If you do not have fuel leaking all over the floor, the first thing to replace is the fuel filter. These get dirty over time, especially if you ran the tank dry in recent months. If its blocked the fuel pump tries hard to suck fuel from the tank through it and fails.

Starving of fuel

Remove fuel filler cap and retry.

If no luck then check the engine for a vacuum leak.
You can try placing your hand over the carb intake and cranking or running the engine. If you feel a lack of vacuum, then you may have a vacuum leak. Check the intake manifold for cracks or gasket leaks.
Do a compression test on the engine. If it lacks compression, then it may also lack vacuum and may likely require major attention.

87 Buick century 3.8l I replaced almost everything under the Hood plus fuel pump.filter runs great. Then starts missing like its running out of gas. But keep pumping the gas and it starts backfiring...

Is the check engine light on ?
If you really have replaced everything in the ignition and fuel system, that would leave the computer and the wiring harness.

I have a carter electric fuel pump on my boat. Its hooked up to my coil going to my distributer that is switched from my ignition. When my ignition is on and the engine is not running the pump runs...

It should be on as long the key is switched on. if you're ignition is supplied the fuel pump should be supplied if it's hooked to your coil... although, I would reccomend hooking it up to a keyed source other than your coil. it's taking a toll on you coil while it's hooked up there. gonna cause ignition issues down the line due to extra load.
your pump is doing what it should though. Good luck.

How do you prime the fuel injectors on an isuzu rodeo 1994 I4 2.6l engine? changed fuel pump and all fuses are good but not getting any fuel to system. i turned key on and let the new fuel pump kick on but...

What you need to do is turn the key on and let the fuel pump run. Turn the key off and repeat about 20 times or so. Eventually it will start it just takes some time to get it primed. You can also do that and on the fuel rail there is a re-leaf valve. Crack that open to get the air out until you get a steady fuel stream.

Troubleshooting fuel system for 1975 jeep cj5

Fuel pumps just supply fuel to the carb. Either they work or don't work. I would make sure that the mixture screws on the carb are set properly. Turn the screws in to lean out the mixture, do one at a time.
You want to turn the screws in to the point where the jeep will start to idle rough and then back out a 1/2 turn. Check your timing also. If the jeep has alot of miles on it, the timing chain will stretch and it's possible that you cannot get the correct timing.

Code po370 po238

put a mechanical fuel gauge and long fuel hose on the bleed valve on water crossover run it in the cab and opserve pressure, should be 3 psi at idle and min 1 psi wide open trottle. on steady run fuel pressure should stay steady too, about 3-4 psi, if it fluctuates from o psi to whatever, it could be interupted power to the LP. failing OPS ??
Try above first.

what are the codes for??
