Broken wire. Probably right on top of the tank, but test your way to it with a test light. Or are you using a test light now?

Make sure that you have the emergency fuel cutoff in the right position, i cant remember wheather it is up or down, but it is under your dash like, down about your break pedal, or if not there (mine is a standard trans) it may be behind one of your kicker panels... hope this helps let me know if you need more help.. Fuel filter change did not take care of the problem car still shuts down after 20 minutes of running will not start again for about 20 minutes anyone know what the next move maybe

Have a pressure check run on your fuel pump. Sounds like fuel pump is ready to totally fail. Just had this happen on my ford expedition. And that was painful changing out fuel pump. Took 4 hours and was a dirty job too

2000 ford windstar no fuel changed fuel pump still no fuel changed fuses and relay

Check the power feed for the pump at the fuel pump relay. Pull the relay out, and with a test light clipped to a ground, probe all the terminals that the relay plugs in to. One terminal should be hot at all times. If no terminal has power, either a fusible link off the battery has failed or a maxi fuse has blown-check a wiring diagram to see how the relay gets power to it.
If the relay has power to it, check the other relay terminals with the engine cranking. When cranking the engine, two terminals should have power-the fuel pump feed, and the signal from computer to activate the relay. If both signals are present, check the pump wire from relay to tank, check the fuel pump ground, and check if the coil side of relay has a good ground-signal from computer goes to coil input side, the coil output terminal should go to ground.
Good luck. Post back with what you find.

I changed out my spark plugs... Spark plug wires... Distributer cap and rotor... Fuel pump and fuel filter and a new fuel pump relay and my fuel pump still will not work on my 1991 caprice.. Can someone...

I guess you know the ignition system is not connected to the fuel pump circuit.
The pump relay gets power from the key switch and the computer grounds the relay to power the pump. You get power for 3 seconds when you first turn the key on. Then you have to have oil pressure to continue powering the pump.
Have you checked the relay to see if it is working ?

1999 dodge caravan 3.0 liter. fuel pump relay not getting voltage

Have you checked the ASD (Automatic Shut Down) Relay? Check to see if that is getting power. Then check to see if the ASD Relay itself is good. You do not have to use any special tools/knowledge to check this. You can change this Relay out with another Relay that is the same shape and type on a function that is known working. For example: Check to see if your Front Windshield Wipers are working. Change out the ASD Relay with this Front Windshield On/Off Relay. Check the Wipers again. If it does not work, then the ASD Relay is bad. With the Front Wiper Relay in the ASD now check for power to the Fuel Pump Relay.
One additional fact: IF the Crankshaft Position Sensor is bad the Engine will not operate at all, meaning there will be no power sent to anything including the fuel pump relay!

1995 gmc yukon i have change the fuel assmbliy

you can manually actuate the relay if you want. Take the cover off, and push the contact over with a screwdriver and see if you can hear the pump. Have you checked to see if there's power to the relay, both the control side and the side providing power to the pump? There's two different circuits involved here, so you have to make sure they're both ok. If you have power before the relay, and power coming out of the relay headed to to pump, then your problem falls between the relay and the pump. Other things to consider, are the fuel pressure sensor, and oil pressure sensor. Some vehicles will not turn the pump on if they sense no oil pressure after a couple of seconds. Secondly, if the fuel pressure sensor is telling the pump that there's plenty of pressure, (even if there's not) it'll shut the pump down. Hope this helps you.

1996 CADILLAC DEVILLE, NO POWER TO FUEL PUMP

Check for a burned fusible link under the hood. If you have power at the fuel pump relay, you could have a bad ignition switch or bad oil pressure switch...accordianman
