Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

SOURCE: Block heater for 98 dodge neon

Well the block heater itself is usually way under the engine where you can't see it, so I'm thinking you want the plug & cord that makes it work so you can plug it in. My 95 neon had it coiled up laying near the top of the fender under the hood on drivers side, if i remember correctly. It had a black cap over the plug which made it hard to find sometimes, even though I thought I knew where it was. Sometimes it would fall down behind or beside the engine controller.(gray looking computer box) I was always looking for a shiny plug-in type end but it was covered with a hard to see black little cap over it. I used a flashlight, and went along the top of the fenders until I spotted what looked similar to a black extension cord, then followed it to the end, and that's how I found it most times. Try going along drivers side top of fender first, then passenger fender, and then along the front, and maybe even attached in behind grille at front of car sometimes.

SOURCE: cannot locate the cord for the block heater on

The new 3.0L doesnt have a block heater.. Not with Dodge anyway.. you can
buy an in-line heater that splices into the lower radiator hose and will heat up the coolant.. you could also program your auxillary heater to come on before you get up in the morning.. should be in your manual.. let me know if that helps?

Did you try bulbs? Fuses? If so, then switch is a good bet. Worst case is new "board".

Gunnar,
Go to Alldatadiy.com. They have the best wiring Diagrams I have found anywhere. Cost is about $25 (US) for a 12-months subscription.

ECU location

If it is in there check also on the drivers side of the engine block. Often , on new models the ECU is mounted behind the fuel filter housing.
Another way to find the ECU is following the wiring that are coming from the fuse box, on one way they go toward the device, on the other they go to the car computer

Here is the ECU:

If you need replacement you can buy here :
Dodge Sprinter Auto Parts & More
Here you can also buy the Chilton repair manual with illustrations for all car parts and all step-by-step iillustrated procedures, this is a must if you want to DIY your vehicle.
Dodge Sprinter Repair Manual - Partstrain.com
Here is a cheaper manual, with immediate download, I do not know if it is good: MANUAL, SERVICE - Downloads

I see If I can find a precise schematic, or a picture, in case I will post it tomorrow, as now I am going offline.
