It sounds like the battery has a dead cell in it. Replace the battery. If you have an alarm installed remove the in line fuse from the alarm and see if that stops the battery drain.

Check your alternator and the voltage regulator first. A gas station could do this simple test. Usually it would be a bad regulator which cheaper the petrol (gasoline in the USA).

SOURCE: The battery drains it self

AA or the RAC ---they use failed mechanics trust me on this one ,anyway it could be that you need a new alternator because one of the diodes has packed up so its earthing itself out .Next time you call one out ask if they hold a associated member of the institute of road transport engineers .takes 6 years of college for that exam .Then they might know what their talking about

How to disable 98 civic alarm keeps drain battery

Might have broken wiring harness wires that run from the cabin to the door. There is a rubber boot that covers this harness, runs near the door hinges, remove boot and check all wires and if you find any damaged or broken, repair and test auto door lock.

When i turn the key nothing happens, security light still blinks. When i jump it it cranks. so far toyota has replaced the starter, the belt, and the ECM per recall. The alternator has been tested...

It sounds like there is a parasitic current drain on the battery. This could from a vanity mirror lamp, glove box lamp, trunk lamp being on continuously. A technician would have to monitor the current drain on the battery while individual fuses are pulled from the fuse panels. This kind of diagnosis can take a bit of time.

My central locking has had it and keeps locking and unlocking on its own and its draining my battery . is there a way that i can disable the central locking so i can just open it manually? as its an old...

Here is what I would do:
1) drop by a dealer and chat with the service manager, no doubt he hears this all the time and could direct you to the proper fuse. these guys can be very helpful with a lot of free knowledge and help so long as you are patient and courteous. there might even be an old technical bulletin on the issue.

2) find a legend for your fuse panels. most likely there is a small one with some big amp fuses under the hood and a larger one with many small amperage fuses under the dashboard. if you are lucky enough that one small fuse powers the locks you can most likely get away with it by just pulling the fuse to disable it. caveat the collateral damage, that is one area the service manager could help you with. if you disable it, will it lock you out and/or prevent starting. and of course whatever else is on the fuse will be dead too. legends can usually be found in the owners manual and on the inside of the fuse panel cover. replacement manuals can be had on eBay.

I just put in a new battery and withina month it drained

something is draining the battery while the ignition switch is off. there are some things which remain on, but their drain is supposed to be very low. get an ammeter, which measures current, and remove the positive battery cable and place the ammeter between the battery post and the battery cable. there should be some very small amount of flow. now pull the fuses one by one while someone is watching the ammeter for you. eventually you will pull a fuse and the current drain will go down to almost nothing. that will be the fuse on which the offending circuit or doodad resides. now put the fuse back in and begin disabling each doodad until you hit the one which is causing the high current drain. typical things are autolocking mechanisms, lights which do not go off in trunks, under hoods, glove boxes.

VW beetle battery runs down

Take out the battery and have it tested. Test should show what is wrong with it. If it is too old, then you are in for a new battery.

Central locking is flatening the battery

Go to and register (vehicle by VIN). Afterward, you'll have access to technical information (manuals, wiring diagrams, service bulletins, etc) about your vehicle. Unfortunately, you'll find the system which controls the door locks is the ETACS Module (which also controls many other circuits which would become disabled if you pulled its fuse).
I've run into the problem you describe. Frequently it turned out to be a bad switch in the driver's door lock/unlock actuator.... Unless I diagnose the problem myself (or some other qualified technician does it), it could be something else entirely.

Lock out bmw520i 1990

There is a procedure to open the doors in a lock out. You must pull up on the driver's door handle then insert the key and turn it counterclockwise while at the same time pulling the key as if you were trying to pull it out. You will be met with a lot of resistance but the lock will open provided your actuator is not froze. This is a tricky procedure and will no doubt take several practices to be able to pull it off. Good luck!
