Car wont start some times displays key with a slash

i have a 2004 bmw525i and at times it wont start it desplays a message saying;remote control do not stop the engine,car may not start.how do i solve this.keith

its probably a scircuity problem most likely because it seem with those cars you need the controller in or close to you for the car to start so maybe the ecu or pcm isnt picking up the signal or maybe change the battery on the remote?
