Question about 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser
I have a 2004 Platinum Series PT Cruiser (Turbo) with a bad starter. My question is; Can my intermediate/advanced shade-tree mechanic husband switch out the starter himself? Any special tools required? I've looked all over the internet and can't even find a diagram of the engine.
I'm trying to avoid my local Chrysler service center at all costs. (Too many reasons to list)
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
He can do it. Tell him to just be patient (everything is a tight fit in a PT) and remember to disconnect the battery first. No special tools are required. He may have to move a bracket or two for access. It lives on the left side (front) of the motor and easiest to get to from underneath.
