Noise on driver side when heater is on

Hi Rebecca, I'm glad to help!
Rebecca, I don't know what kind of vehicle you have because it doesn't say, so I'm shooting from the dark. I'll give it a shot here goes. If this noise in fact only happens with the air or heat is being used and its on the drivers side by the steering column then I only say this because the blower motor is on the passenger side of the vehicle. I'm thinking, with me not know exactly what the noise sounds like. Here's my guess, you could have an electric motor thats moves the A/C Doors. The gears could be stripped OR the door the motor moves could be broken. If you put your head under the dash and then turn the key on see if you can pin-point where the noise is coming from. If you find it and it is the motor on the side of the box, then unplug it and see if the noise goes away. If it does the take the motor off and see if the peg on the door will move, you should hear the door hitting the rest in both directions, if you hear that then the door is good and you only need to replace the motor. Not sure if this is it but its worth a try. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Rebecca!

When i first start to drive, there is a metal squealing noise followed by a loud thump. its coming from the front drivers side area. it stops as soon as i turn off the heater. the a/c runs fine and clutch...

Like all noise problems posted here I always suggest you have a local shop listen to the noise. The reason is this, can't hear the noise over this keyboard.

Heater clicking noise in gmc envoy

Do you hear a clicking noise when you turn your truck on? Its probably the actuator. While the defroster was on I removed the fuse locted under the rear driver side seat. I think its 36B. It stopped the clicking noise and my air vents work well now.

Golf mk 5 sdi weired noise

think the heater relay timer for the glow plugs is having a heart attack and playing up ,often happens and a new one is about 90 euros and only available from the dealer normally but some motor factors will supply but they only send a lad to the dealers on a moped whilst you wait for it thinking they are having a job finding one

54 plate vw toureg v6 when i put heater on in car the drivers side blows hot but passenger side blows cold...any ideas???

Hi, this is a problem with the blend motors, in the dashboard, there is a recall at vw for the heater flaps making a noise and this may also cure your problem, give them a call.

Good luck Davelee
