I have 95 Honda Civic LX A/T. My engine turns over but there is no spark. I have replaced the ICM; the coil reads good on a continuity check. It's getting fuel and the injector pulse is good. the main Relay checks good. I have removed the entire A/C unit (it wasn't working anyway) and the power steering pump is not in the vehicle at the moment. The engine light goes out after cranking and stays off. I'm not sure what else to check. Oh yeah, and I recently rebuilt the head. Also, I checked and cleaned the grounds and fuses. Swapped out the distributor. Checked the ECM for obvious signs of a faulty component. I just rechecked the alignment for the timing marks. I know this is something stupid but no success so far. I've had a mechanic look at it and received advise from four others. Can you think of any other reason the car will not start. This problem can't not be that unique.

the limp mode is most likely caused by a problem with the alternatior voltage output, it is low, once the battery voltage drops off (due to alternator problem) the the check engine light is turned on. Have the charging system and the battery tested for proper operation, any Kragen or Autozone will do this for free.

Honda Civic car will not go over 20 miles per hour and doesn't and doesn't go over 3000rpm stopped in park or even driving after 10 miles

This is known as "get me home" mode/limp mode.
It is designed for you to get the car safely to the side of the road. Needs to go to a garage as there is a fault somewhere which will probably need attaching to a computer to investigate.

Check light comes on and goes into limp mode . Returns to normal by switching engine off and on again. lights goes out when battery is reconected

You need to have the codes scanned to determine what has failed. The light will continue to come on as long as the computer detects a problem and will put the vehicle in limp mode

Check engine light came on my 2004 honda civic ex start it up shakes a minute then runs fine but light stays on

That's because the car is putting itself into "limp"mode. Take it some where to have the code read without the code number it tells me nothing.

Chack engine light comes on

This means the car's computer has registered a problem (many of which are not serious) and has stored a code to help home in on the fault. Take the car to a mechanic or auto electrician to have this code read out. In the USA Autozone will do this too. Then you will know what needs fixing.

Car stays in 2nd gear all of the time. (Limp mode) Fix Engine light stays on, D green light blinks constantly for automatic transmission Honda Accord 2005

Ah, I see. You want to outsmart the computer? Right logic, wrong computer. I think the problem is not in the transmission, but it is the engine computer that has communicated with the transmission computer and put the car in limp-in mode. The fix engine light is sent from the engine computer, and this is the main computer in the car, the main drive train computer, if you will.
The short answer is yes it will reset, by just unhooking the battery. Won't do any harm. Start it up about an hour later, and be sure and let it warm up to normal operating temperature (closed loop) before you take it out for a test drive. Otherwise you may be miles from home in 2nd gear limp-in mode again.
The real fix is to talk to your car...like communicate with the computer and get those trouble codes read...talk to it nice, not the abrupt tone of the glaring idiot light, and maybe it will respond in a kinder, gentler easy to fix diagnostic code!!!!
Good luck.

Code 24 is a vehicle speed signal sensor fault, the sensor most likely does not provide a useable signal until about 25 MPH, when the computer doesn't see any signal after that speed it turns on the light. Make sense?
