1997 cobra throttle freeplay

I do not have a photo of this application. There should not have been more than 1 way to run the cable. However some of the linkage has a cruise control cable and a throttle control cable. They did have plastic clips to fix the cable to these brackets. Maybe you switched the position of the 2 cables and that is why the throttle cable seems too long.

Locate throttle body sensor on hyundai santa fe 2004 2.4L and replacing it

Well, we both know it is on the throttle body. follow the air filter box to the engine. Where it connects is the throttle body. Do you have drive by wire or cable? f you have cable the sensor is across from where the cables connect. If you have drive by wire, You have to replace the entire throttle body. It is a computer in it self.

How do i replace a ford focus throtle cable

disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle body. follow the throttle cable around the engine and you will find it goes through the fire wall and connects to the gas pedal. disconnect the cable from the gas pedal and pull out of the cab compartment from engine side. Pay close attention to how you disconnected the cable from the gas pedal and from the throttle body because you will have to reverse this procedure when you install the replacement. You will need an assistant who is pretty flexable to connect the cable to the gas pedal. so let the assistant disconnect the old cable from the gas pedal so he or she will know how to connect the new one back to the gas pedal. It was not an easy project for me and it definitely is not as easy as it seems to be. You will need plenty of time, daylight and patience. The replacement cable may be shorter than the original and that ok. Ford has made sure it will work. Use tie-wraps or zip-ties to hold the new throttle cable back in place around the engin. Good luck.

Replaceing trottle cable

Take the cable end off the throttle body. You may have to remove the cruise cable first. Then remove the screws for the throttle cable bracket. Note how the cable is routed past hoses and obstructions to reach the throttle body. Now inside the car, remove the cable from the accelerator pedal, push the rubber grommet at the firewall out towards the engine, and remove the cable out the engine side. Reverse procedure to attach new throttle cable.

1990 lincoln continental throttle stuck wide open

make sure nothing is caught holding the plate open, disconnect the throttle cable from the throttle valve at the intake.if the throttle closes then i would say you have a problem with the cable itself and will need to be replaced.make sure there is nothing caught at the gas pedal that is holding open.if the throttle stays open then you may have a problem with the throttle shaft(dirt build up),bent shaft, damaged throttle plate, loose plate(has screws holding plate in position)on the shaft.it could also be a bad tps sensor(throttle position sensor)that is damaged internally and needs replacing,as it is fasten to the opposite of the throttle shaft from the cable.if you remove the screws(note position of sensor and screws on sensor)and remove the tps and the throttle is not stuck then this is probably the problem and needs replacing.

My 2001 Toyota Camry will not accelerate. The pedal gives no response to the engine. If I replace the throttle position sensor would that be all I need to look at?

i would not just go buy a tps on a guess
first check to see if you can bring the throttle up by hand at the motor where the throttle cable connects to the throttle body it may be a cable that broke
