Hello Sandra, my name is Andres and i willhelp you with your problem and to start with i need you to check fisicly the terminals of your battery i know is a little hidden but try to see if there is not corrosion on the terminals, if yo clean and test the battery, if that is not your case do you have the ckeck engine light on ? make sure if you do to take it to the closes autoparts for a free OBD2 SCAN and see if you have a crank shaft position sensor or camshaftposition sensor, again if that is not your case check your starter for false contact of defective starter

honestly the crank sensor is the likely culprit. anything else and it should run, even if poorly.

I have a 1997 Toyota Avalon. Sometimes just makes a clicking noise when trying to crank it. Sometimes it trys to turn over then stops and makes the clicking noise again. Usually starts if you keep trying....

Have the starter or solenoid checked. It's possible to get second hand parts from a Salvage/Breakers yard. If you don't mind getting dirty and can use basic hand tool. You may want to invest in a Repair Manual: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/156392336X/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=toyota0d-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=156392336X It can be very useful for a DIY'er .

2004 nissan frontier cylinder wont crank over sometimes

First thing to check would be the starter solenoid-mounted on the starter. In the starting circuit, that is the most high use/high wear item. A tech would wait for the no start condition, then check the solenoid wire for power when key is held in the cranking position. If power is there, it indicates a faulty solenoid. If no power, trace the signal back to the ignition switch-from solenoid to starter relay to clutch switch to ignition switch.
There are contact points (plates, really) inside the solenoid that become pitted and burned from use, and eventually wear down or out.

Hard to believe it would take two months of wondering
& not have it checked out

Sounds like a failing fuel pump

All we can do is guess,as you know,we don't
have the car to test, that is obviously what is required

Where are the sensors in grand prix 2000 car would die going down road would pull over and wait for stereo clock to shut down the car would restart and may go two or three weeks before doing the same thing...

sounds like a crank sensor went bad.sometimes in early stages they are intermittent then they finally go bad and car wont run. look into that. as far as the key switch it could be orn out or your key could have a small nick on it

Vehicle stalls sometimes

could be either the cam sensor or crank sensor , but I would check the crank sensor first , this sensor will not cause a check engine light either
